I have tried before and I look like a racoon? What are the best products to use and how do you apply them? How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?
I always put a white eyeshadow under my eyebrows, then grey on my eyelids. Afterwards I take a black eyeliner and I line my upper eyelids very thinly. I find if I make the line too thick, it looks very harsh and it makes my eyes look more ';puppyish'; instead of almond-shaped. Then I line the inner rims of my eyes with the black eyeliner. Aftewards I take black eyeshadow and either with an angled eyeliner brush or a wet cottonswab (Q-tip) I draw that triangle on the corner of my eyes. I fill it in with black eyeshadow and then put go over the black eyeliner with the eyeshadow to make it look more softer and the lines less harsh. I then take silver eyeliner and put some in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up. Then I finish with a lot of black mascara on both my top and bottom lashes. Remember when you do a smokey-eye look it is best to keep your lips a light colour - such as nude or light pink, or even just to use clear lipgloss. If you wear a dark or bright colour on your lips and smokey eyes, you will only look like a clown. How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?
Things You鈥檒l Need:
**Foundation
**Dark eye shadow
**Dark eye liner
**Eyebrow brush or toothbrush
**Tissue
Step1 Apply foundation to the entire face, including the eyelids and underneath the eyes.
Step2 Swipe a dark brown, black, charcoal or plum eye shadow to your lids using your fingers, starting at the lash line up to the crease. It's easier to smudge the shadow with your finger than maneuvering a shadow brush in such a small area.
Step3 Line the lash line with a dark shade of eyeliner. To make your eyes appear big and beautiful, start at the corner of your eye and stop about 戮 of the way across. Use your fingertip to smudge the line.
Step4
Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Open the curler then clamp your eyelashes at the base of the lash. Hold for 10 to 30 seconds.
Step5
Apply 2 coats of mascara. Allow the mascara to dry in between applications. Finish with an extra swipe on the outer corner of each eye to make the outer lashes appear longer and your eyes bigger.
Step6
Comb your eyebrows. Using an eyebrow groomer or a toothbrush, comb the eyebrows up at the innermost corner then up and out along the thinner area.
****Tips %26amp; Warnings
Fold a tissue in half and hold it under your eye to prevent eye shadow from sprinkling below the eye and causing ';raccoon eyes.';
A smokey eye can be tricky and can be easily mistaken for looking racoon-ish. MY fav is MAC cosmetics. I find that my best make up looks can be accomplished through MAC but you use what is comfortable and familiar to you.
For me, my eyes are naturally brown so to do the ';smokey'; look it does not take much and if i do it too dark it closes up my eyes...here are the colours i use and how i use them...
I use 2 specific colours:
MAC: Shadowy Lady (matte), Shale (satin) %26amp; Phloof! (frost)
I start with the Phloof: this is a neutral and light colour and i put it all over the eyelid and the brow bone. I use this first as a base and work up the other colours. I use a large shadow brush for all over application.
With a stiff crease defining brush i start to lightly build up my dark colour Shadowy Lady. I put this mainly in the crease and work it out towards the brow bone. I layer it usually so that i can control how dark i have it. Also, if you start dark it is difficult to chage the look without taking everything off and starting from the beginning.
I then apply my last colour Shale all over the rest of the lid with a small shadow brush.
I go over with the shadowy lady again to define in the crease and i take a fluffy blending shadow brush to blend it evenly and softly out. I will touch up the brow bone with alittle Phloof! at the end.
Finally, I take a fine line eyeliner brush and apply the Shadowy Lady as a liner under and above my eye. This adds the dramatic look. If you feel you want to go even more dramatic line a dark blue or black eyeliner FIRST then set it wit the shadow liner. Use a pencil or shadow smudger if you want to and smudge softly to the outer corners of your eyes. Put on a black or soft black mascara, and if need be clean up any fallen shadow under your eye with powder foundation or fluff it off with a blush brush.
I hope this helps.
Try MAC makeup, use their black eyeshadow or I use graphite paint. It looks really cool and its really pretty. You can't go wrong with MAC. Its trendy and sophisticated. They also show how to apply eyeshadow to make smokey eyes on their website. Check it out
or you can go to any make up counter and they can help you pick out the right shades.
i personally use eye liner and eyeshadow to create the smokey look. the eyeshadow is what gives you the smokey look tho
if you go to sephora, they can show you what colors look best on your skin, how to apply it, and what products to use. :)
yeah u use a smokey pencil eye liner aand darker shades of shadow.....and smudge the liner into the shadow but not completely though..

Make up//////eyeshadow!?
what eyeshadow looks best on a biracial/mixed girl....?
THANKS%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;ALSO PLZ ANSWER MY OTHER QUESTIONS(:Make up//////eyeshadow!?
You're extremely lucky! As a general rule, people with darker skin tones can get away with pretty much any colour!! My personal faves for darker skins are black and very smoky (this will enhance the colour of your eyes, whatever they are!); gold, purple, green. To be honest, you can just go crazy with the colour! I would steer clear of anything too red-toned though as this can make your eyes look sore.
My best advice, as the above is all very generic, is to look through magazines for people with similar colouring to you (skin, hair and eyes) and see what looks best on them - you're pretty much guaranteed to look good too!
Good luck!Make up//////eyeshadow!?
it would help if you included your eye color.
um...
blue: tans, beiges, gold
green: brown, green
brown: purple, pink, plum
it depends on your eye color i would say
but anything by clinique really pops on any skin color
purple always looks really cute on people with brown eyes, but you have to make sure it isn't too light if your skin is darker. It can look a little bit over the top. Gold also looks so pretty! I would stay away from blues and whites and stuff like that though. Almay makes really great eye color combinations that you can buy at drug stores like CVS or Walgreens. Good luck!!
i have brown eyes and i find the best colors for eye shawdow are greens, and light purples. they really make your eye pop!!
but if u really want to make your eyes pop and look really pretty i would use the green eyeshawdow or even blues!!
Colors such as Honey Spice, Chocolate Kiss, and Navy Blue can help achieve this look. But that is just the start of it, you have to apply it correctly. For more application tips, visit this link:

What is the trick to repair a broken powder eyeshadow (or any powdered make-up)?
Standard Method:
* Soak the broken product in alcohol to make paste
* Smooth out with your finger wrapped in saran wrap, using only the tip, minimize contact. Paste will be dark.
At this point, you can simply allow to dry undisturbed for 2-3 days by air, or continue by doing the following:
* Bake in increments of 3 minutes in oven preheated to 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93 degree centigrade). Be sure to stabilize the pan of product on some foil whilst baking. Do NOT use a heat-conductive platform such as a cookie sheet.
* Watching non-stop, do this until paste just begins to lighten, signaling evaporation of alcohol. Any shortcuts or leaving the product alone for even a few minutes could result in over-heating and alteration in color.
* When lightening begins, remove from oven and let sit undisturbed at room temperature for 2 days. The product will be a little lumpy, but recovered.
Method #2:
* Collect all the broken product onto a piece of paper.
* Create a funnel with the paper and then pour the powder back into the pan.
* Using plastic wrap and your index finger, push all the powder back into the pan with medium force. Keep on pushing until the powder is flat.
Method #3:
* Arrange all of the broken pieces back into the pot, and lay a tissue over the pieces.
* Take the end of a bottle (the old-style MAC hyper real bottle caps worked perfectly for MAC and similarly sized shadows) and press over the tissue with the bottle or bottle cap.
* Remove the tissue, and the product will be perfectly pressed back into the pot and the surface will be as smooth.
Adding Hatch Marks:
This should be done just as the product is still damp but NOT pasty from repair with alcohol (you should be able to press on it with your fingers).
* Get a piece of wax paper over your shadow and firmly press down all over the e/s making sure it is set firmly and the surface is an even as possible.
* If you see cracks, lightly spray with alcohol and press again using your finger or wax paper.
* Take an old pair of coarse jeans and turn them inside out. (Levi's work well, as do any other thick heavily textured material)
* Carefully take one of the inside out legs and put it over the surface and press firmly all over.
* Voila! You have the pretty hatch mark you lost in breakage. If the imprint is not showing as much as you want, spray with alcohol and press again or press harder.
Making Your Broken Product Into a Loose Powder:
Instead of trying to stuff the broken product into the pan, you can just make it all into loose powder.
* Get a small mortar and pestle (available from kitchen stores) and put all of the product into it, scraping out the unbroken remnants if desired.
* Grind product as finely as possible.
* Put the loose powder in a small tin or tub, and apply using a brush.

crush it up and use like a pigment. doesnt have to be a pressed shadow to work.

Make up/eyeshadow primer?
Can I use a makeup primer as an eyeshadow primer/base?
would it affect my skin negatively or is it going to work differently?
:SMake up/eyeshadow primer?
the two definitely work differently; makeup primers use an ingredient called dimethicone, which helps even the overall texture of your face by physically filling in pores or fine lines, and the powdery finish gives a good surface for cover-up to glide on easily and stay fresh-looking all day. shadow primers consist mainly of isododecane which has a stickier finish to it that shadows can attach themselves to which prevents fading.
if you used a makeup primer for your eyes, it wouldn't affect your skin negatively per s茅, but it definitely won't work as well in the least.Make up/eyeshadow primer?
yes u can use foundation as eyeshadow primer
no its not going to work ant differently
use exactly as you would use it on your face
I'm sure you can try it, but Urban Decay makes a great eyeshadow primer.
i'm not much of a mary kay person but they do have a eye primer that i liked..

Where to find a liquid transformer make up (that turns eyeshadow into eyeliner).?
okay, does anybody know where to buy, and what brand of liquid transformer (type of liquid make up that when you dip your brush in it, then into any eyeshadow that will instantly transform it into an eyeliner). it was featured on an episode of what not to wear. kk thank you for your help.
p.s.
if you know the price, website, or store (if there and brands of it at target that is most convienent).Where to find a liquid transformer make up (that turns eyeshadow into eyeliner).?
these types of things are getting more common but i have found an awesome one! it's by cliche cosmetics and it turns any eyeshadow into WATERPROOF eyeliner! how awesome is that! here's the link!
it's only $9
their eye primer is amazing as well.. better than urban decay primer potion.Where to find a liquid transformer make up (that turns eyeshadow into eyeliner).?
you don't need to buy that.
what i do is get a new, clean paintbrush [or thin makeup brush] and i dip it in water to get it a little wet
and then i swirl it in eyeshadow and and it becomes eyeliner :D
They have it at Ulta, and probably Sephora (:
it's kinda expensive though, like twentyfive bucks?
Wow, I've never heard of anything like this, but if you just lick your brush before you put it into the eyeshadow powder, it can be used very efficiently as eyeliner. :)
well, idk what that brand was or anything
but bareminerals, or bare escentuals eye shadow does that and theres TONS of colors
Avon. I'm pretty sure they have a website. I'm always buying from their magazines...
There is one from ELF and it's only a dollar. It works pretty well.
i either just use water or visine [ sounds weird, i know, but it works really well ]

Prom make up mainly eyeshadow color and technique??
my dress is baby blue with silver rinestones n gems.
i have brown hair(dark but not black dark).
and dark almost black eyes.
i have no idea what color liner n shadow to use??Prom make up mainly eyeshadow color and technique??
wear dark eye makeup with silver accents. i have i.d. bare escetuals dark darrrkk blue eyeshadow, and its perfect for going dark with the eyes. use that and a grey black eyeshadow, sortof cornering your lid. to make it look more even i usually lightly cover the dark eyeshadow with a shimmery light shadow(in your case silver). i did it for homecomming, really pretty!
http://i28.tinypic.com/2s17iau.jpgProm make up mainly eyeshadow color and technique??
Let me start off by saying that if you're looking for inexpensive, quality makeup, I suggest http://www.eyeslipsface.com. Nearly everything there is one dollar.
Eyeshadow:
I like getting maybelline quads. they last a long time.
http://www.maybelline.com/Product/Eye/Ey鈥?/a>
I personally have lucious sorbet for my blue eyes.
The medium shade (top one showed on those quads) goes all over the lid.
Second one down (second darkest) compliments and goes in the crease.
The lightest goes all the way up to your brown bone.
Last but not least the darkest goes at the outer corner of your eye.
Blue eyes - browns and blues
Brown eyes - golds, bronzes, browns, purples.
Hazel Eyes - can pull off most any color
Green eyes - green (duh), browns
These are good rules for general eyeshadow, not just these quads.
wear blue or silver eye liner and make the eye lid right at the bottom silver then blue with a silver body stinker on the side of ur eye.
either silver or baby blue.
it will make your eyes stand out.
just dont wear to much !

What's the best kind of make-up brand?(Not that expensive) & what eyeshadow looks best with blue eyes?
MAC is the best makeup in my opinion, its a little pricey but well worth your money..for blue eyes greens, browns (dark ones mostly), dark blues, light pinks, and even plum and purples can make your eyes pop..and also if your brave enough, using blue mascara (cheapest would be NYC's blue cobalt mascara) would make your eyes pop!
hope that helps a little :)What's the best kind of make-up brand?(Not that expensive) %26amp; what eyeshadow looks best with blue eyes?
I love BareMinerals!
It's about $75 for the starter kit.
But it last about a year, if you use it right.
Normally Lighter Blues, Darker Grays, but it really depends on what color blue you have.
Good Luck! :]

HI I'M CHRISTINA A INDEPENDENT BEAUTY CONSULTANT WITH MARY KAY. I HAVE A WEBSITE YOU CAN CHECK OUT, YOU CAN UPLOAD YOUR PICTURE AND PLAY WITH COLOR AND HAIR. YOU CAN ALSO ORDER FROM THERE. HAVE FUN.

Golds and Browns are the best colors with blue eyes. Some times pinks and redish/purpleish browns or maybe greens.
But, wearing blue eyeshadow with blue eyes doesn't bring out your eyes. It takes away from them and it overpowering.
benefit is a really good line. its good for covering up problems and fixes, and also does a great job. i recommend it. try www.sephora.com or youcan find them at macy's.
HIP and covergirl make GREAT eyeshadows that are sold at drugstores for like 4 dollars to a bit more. Their colors are fantastic. Try green and white and browns for blue eyes
MAC has really good pigmented makeup when it comes to eyeshadows!! and for blue eyes, a lot of colours look good but to make them stand out I would say neutrals... browns, coppers and bronzes!
MAC but if you're looking for cheaper ones..
HIP or Maybelline works well ^^
But Im also using Almay..cause i have sensitive skin
MAC is the best , but in drugstore brands covergirl or maybelline is probably the best!
M.A.C
try dark purple, white, gold, silver

MAC has really good pigmented makeup when it comes to eyeshadows!! and for blue eyes, a lot of colours look good but to make them stand out I would say neutrals... browns, coppers and bronzes!
MAC but if you're looking for cheaper ones..
HIP or Maybelline works well ^^
But Im also using Almay..cause i have sensitive skin
MAC is the best , but in drugstore brands covergirl or maybelline is probably the best!

try dark purple, white, gold, silver

MAC make up: Which other eyeshadow would look good with the eyeshadow PARROT?
what kind of look do you want? You could pair it with Charred (gray) and have a more dramatic look. Or simply wash the eyelid in Parrot and put a subtle highlighter like Shroom or even a white.
I don't recommend a liner with this color. Apply it close to your lash line, wear mascara, and that is it for your eye.
P.S. mac online recommends Daisychain with it as a neutral also - that color is also limited edition. I would wear more of a nude lip, so the eyes remain the focus. Can be worn daytime or evening!MAC make up: Which other eyeshadow would look good with the eyeshadow PARROT?
Pursebuzz does a great tutorial using Parrot. There are 2 parts to this video. The end result is beautiful and tasteful. Hope it helps!

what u do is take a klenex and put it on ur check underneath ur eye so that they stray powder doesnt get on the rest of ur face. then take a stiff powder brush and put it on as if it was a normal eyeshadow but put it on a LITTLE thicker.
Just dip a small makeup brush into the pot, tap the excesses, and apply.

How to make my eyeshadow show up better?
You just have to add more layers of it. But if you're using the powdered kind, yeah it doesn't show up well. But most people like it this way because you can kind of blend it in so that it looks super natural! I would suggest that you use the eyeshadow stick kind... like the pencil crayon kind. ThaT will do the trick! How to make my eyeshadow show up better?
a primer helps. Or a lighter base shadow. If you wear a certain colour a lot i'd advise investing in a more expensive brand because the pigment will be a lot stronger and you won't need to use as much to get the right shade you want. I have MAC eye shadows/pigments and i barely put any on but the colour still pops. How to make my eyeshadow show up better?
there is this website that will help you practice how to apply eyeshadow for up to 4-shades there you will at least have an idea how it looks
Here is how I make my Eyeshadow show up better, I have very sunken/invisible Eye lids.
1) I use Mary Kay Eye Primer. It is like Eyeshadow glue.
2) I use a deep hue rich Eye Shadow, like the shadows by Nicole Miller.
3) Then I finish off with Mary Kay Signature Mascara.
i always put my eyeshadow on with an actual brush not the sponge that comes with it.And just keep putting on more until it's as dark as you want it to be.
You can try using an eyeshadow primer before applying the shadow...this helps the shadow stick to the lid better and gives a more accurate colour pigment...also, instead of applying the shadow in a sweeping motion to the lid, try stippling. Stippling is when you apply the shadow to the lid by using your brush and ';dotting'; it on - the key is to not apply the shadow in a sweeping motion like this ________ you want to stiple like this .........
hey,
Well, it all depends what colour you use.If it's a dark colour like brown than you should put on like two brushs on your lid, if it's a light colour like beige that you should put about 3-4 brushs.
Natalie
First off, what color are you using? If you like that color, just try the same one in a different shade.
And here's some good eyeshadow colors for different colored eyes:
BLUE eyes: Tan w/ light blue
BROWN eyes: Pink, cream, Purple
GREEN: dark brown, deep purple.
Use an eye primer. It keeps your eyeshadow on longer and makes it go on smoother too. =]
Hmmm....you can try putting concealer on your lids. I have to put a little face powder over that so that the eyeshadow sticks.
And then it seems if I buy high quality eyeshadow, it shows up better. I tried the drugstore brands. The pigment is just not strong enough. Right now, I have urban decay and it's awesome.

I have fair skin and dark hair with hazel eyes. what would be the best eyeshadow and/or make-up for me?
I just bought this beautiful dark blue evening dress that goes well with my skintone, but I just don't know what make-up to wear with it. Too dark makes me look like I got punched in the eye! Help!I have fair skin and dark hair with hazel eyes. what would be the best eyeshadow and/or make-up for me?
you should go with either really dramatic colors like blue and purple. or, if you like a simpler look, go with undertones like light browns or beige
good luck hunI have fair skin and dark hair with hazel eyes. what would be the best eyeshadow and/or make-up for me?
Use a silver color?
Or just use a glitter [silver looks better with blue] and then just wear black eyeliner with it.
wear a light blue over light gray
Well what I do is go onto covergirl.com and they will ask questions about skin color, eye color, hair color, ect. Then they will give you a complete guide of makeup colors to use. Like mascara, blush, eye shadow, lipstick.
Put a darker shadow in your crease to make your eyes look bigger and prettier.. Don't use the same color shadow as your dress, but use the same color tone. maybe silver/gray shadow... put the silver on ur lids and the lighest color (maybe a white?) under your brows. blend and use black eyeliner. Only on the top and the outer half of the bottom.
ok well try mac makeup it really works the best..in my opinion. it will stay on glitter but not too much and bring out your eyes, and it WONT smudge.
well i think if you dont want something too much out there then
try a lighter gold on the lid of your eye and then a little darker gold on the crease....then u can put up a little eyeliner to bring out your eyes and itll be beautiful with your dresss..
or you can try a kind of blue on the lid and a darker blue on the crease
or a blue on the lid and a darker blue or black on the crease line....for a mroe dramatic effect...
then u can use mac pressed powder and este lauder concealer to hide the dark spots (if u have any)
and a blush not too bright but just a little pink and brush it on the apples of your cheeks and take a bronzer and slightly brush it under your apples and a little on your jawline itll give your face a more defined shape

do a soft golden bronze type color. almost gold like but not! and also use a light light brown with it, it will help soften up your eyes and yet go with both your hair/skin and dark gown.
Here's what i would wear, A nice light color eyeshadow and a pink gloss. You don't want to go to dark the secret is to not let them know your wearing make-up
I think putting a dark purple eyeliner on your lash line, then light purple eyeshadow would look nice. or light blue or green.

hi. For pale skin type and green eyes go with earthy tones of eyeshadows, ( beige, taupes etc).
I am a blond with eyes that go from green to blue. I have pale skin as well. I have found that shades of very pale green and shades of light blue are lovely with our hair and skin color. I also like to use natural shades of browns, and purples. You need to first experment with different colors and textures. Like powders, gels, and then decide what really lookes best on you. You really have to decide for yourself what you like, because what others think may not work for you. The best thing to do is try on different colors, brands of make up and then decide what shade suits you the best.
light green or green with white glitter eye shadow =]
it would go good with your eyes =D
I would go to a make up store and look for a eye shadow that is made for green eyes that's what i do. it makes them pop and Ive never gotten so many compliments on my eyes
It depends on how you want your eyes to look. Browns and earthy tones look beautiful with green eyes. However, I would greatly suggest an eyeshadow that is a green - one shade lighter or darker (depending on the look you're going for- personally because you said you are more pale and blonde, go for a lighter green) then your natural eye colour. Essentially what that does is it ';pops'; your eyes to make them more noticeable. Use a black eyeliner, but do not line the entire eye. Go about halfway on the bottom and top, as that makes your eye look fuller and bigger. Use an eyelash curler if you have one to curl the upper lashes and use a few coats of lengthening and thickening mascara to get that finished desired look.
Brown and copper tones might bring out your green eyes. To spice it up a little more, you can get lowlights instead of dying your hair even lighter.

How do you clean make up brushes for eyeshadow, blush, etc? Thanks!?
Have to work and wear more makeup....just want to be sure everything is clean! How do you clean make up brushes for eyeshadow, blush, etc? Thanks!?
I place all of my makeup brushes in a container with antibacterial soap swish them and change the water a few times, once they are clean, I rinse them thoroughly and place them on a clean paper towel on a rack and air dry them. I try to do this every other day.How do you clean make up brushes for eyeshadow, blush, etc? Thanks!?
for a cheap and effective way to clean make up brushes, i use Johnson's head-to-toe baby wash. its very mild and it smells clean and it does clean nicely. its so mild that it will not ruin your brushes.
If you have high quality brushes, you may want to use a brush cleanser that is specifically designed to clean, disinfect and condition your brushes.
Personally, I use MAC brush cleanser even though all of my brushes aren't MAC brushes.
id say use water and but just dip it..take out get the excess of...dip it again and take teh excess water off and keep doing it until the excess water is clean
http://www.ehow.com/how_3175_clean-makeu鈥?/a>
they forgot to mention you should reshape the bristles before leaving them to dry, though.
Q tips are really perfect for putting on eyeshadow , then you can just throw them away
You can just wipe them off or kind of brush them on a paper towel, or not clean them at all if your the only one using them. Make up remover liquid works too. Good luck
I gently wash in warm (not hot) water my brushes with diluted shampoo
I rinse them very well, but again gently
blot in a towel
reshape them and lay in the sun on the windowsill to air day
You can use a drop of antibacterial soap in a sink with warm water, swish, and rinse well.
I use the liquid soap that I use to wash my hands. Wash well, and then use a little hair conditioner to keep the bristles soft and untangled. Squeeze dry with a towel, and then lay out to dry overnight.
i use johnsons baby soap with water to wash them.
Use Shampoo in the sink swish wash and dry overnight. Or I also put in the dishwasher in utensil area. Only advise that for brushes not sponge like things.
Johnson Baby Shampoo
I suggest getting an unscented bar of soap (Ex Ivory) and washing with that under warm water. Rinse well. You can pat them dry, but I recommend standing them up in a glass or something so that they keep their shape when they dry. If you want to dissinfect them, put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and spray them, then rub them down on paper towel. If you don't have time to wait for your brushes to dry from washing them, just do the second thing I mentioned with the rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol dries fast, dissinfects, and also gets the makeup out of the brushes.
There is usually cleaner sold at little shops or salons that work great! Mine came is a quirt bottle and then just wipe off with bathroom tissue.

What is the best brand of eyeshadow make-up?
i use cover girl but it wears off really quick!..
i want one that will last..
not fade really quick=[
help plz! What is the best brand of eyeshadow make-up?
If you want to buy a lot of eyeshadow for cheap, you can try NYX. It's super cheap and the colors are great. You can get it at ULTA, drugstores, and some beauty supply stores. If you're makeup is coming off, you should wear a primer underneath. I use Urban Decay Primer Potion. You can buy it at Sephora or ULTA. You can also use the NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencils as a base. I don't have a problem with it creasing, but others have said they do.What is the best brand of eyeshadow make-up?
you can still wear covergirl and have your eyeshadow last long
all you have to do is add any eyeshadow primer
i like l'oreal's de-crease eyeshadow base
http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a鈥?/a>
just add this before you do your eyeshadow
then apply your eyeshadow as you would
a base makes the colors more vibrant and strong
and makes the eyeshadow last without creasing or fading
and about the walmart brush.
you can find great brushes at walmart and target ect...
this is how to find a good one
the more bristles, the better
try to find a very fluffy brush.
fluffy brushes pick up more color
and makes eyeshadow more vibrant
I also love my MAC makeup. It is so worth the money because it lasts a long time. I also use Urban Decay- Eyeshadow Primer Potion to make my eyeshadow last, it gives you a more vibrant and lasting color, and absolutely NO creasing. It works wonders!!
mac! LOL
yeah mac works but its like $14 per eyeshadow 2 much!
do u use an eyeshadow base? that might be the problem.
they really make eyeshadow standout and stay alot longer
but if u want u can try loreal hip which is 1 of my favs :)
urbandecay
stella
nars
smashbox
if you want a goo brand then you have to spend a decent amount of cash otherwise you'll just end with mediocre stuff
Lancome[i know dosent test on animals]
Mac
Clinque
Chanel
Dior
I dont know if they test on animal not.
Im not for that kind of stuff!
I HATE it actually
Urban Decay.
Or SmashBox.
MAC!! Pretty expensive but it lasts forever (on your face and in your collection) It's worth it. Once you try it you'll never be able to use anything else
try loreal HIP
it works great
and doesn't fade really

(I'm a girl by the way, contrary to my name on here.)Which make up brand has good eyeshadow to make black/gray smoky eyes?
i have grey eyes and im not sure what colors would work for you but as far as the smoky eyes look, about a month ago i bought an eyeshadow kit from revlon called ';grey matters'; and it come with 3 colors that start light and go to that dark smoky color, it even came with instructions on how to acheieve that look. i got it at walmart. but i suggest look for something like that so you have the colors you need and instructions on how to do it, it helped me im no make up artist by no means so the ';how to products'; really help me. Good luck!
there are a lot of sets for smokey eyes now
Bare Escentuals and Laura gellar i believe both have one.
Walk around sephora and check out the sets
they are fairly inexpensive for what you are getting
i believe rimmel has a grey quad as well for a more inexpensive option
avon has a really good quad named deepest rose and it has a a gray color named steel and a burgundy color...i like the wet n wild eyeshadows at any drugstore for 2.00$ the color is called wicked...for a cheap price it works good
mac but bare minerals has a kit for it and it tells you exactly how to do it and stuff plus comes with the brush
I have it lol
Dearer brands - Mac/Rimmel
Cheaper brands - Natural Collection/Essence
Barry M
MAC
Or Virgin Vie Products :)
eyeslipsface.com almay revlon etc.
i would recommend MAC, MAC is really good and its not expensive at all!

What are some make up tips when applying eyeshadow?
When you are applying eyeshadown, make sure you are using a brush, a soft brush, not like the ones that comes w/ the eyeshadow packes (the white ones). Make sure you are using at least two colors, one dark and one light. Apply the light one first, on your whole entire eyelid, and the darkest one last, and only apply to the part that is nearest to your eye. What are some make up tips when applying eyeshadow?
Definitely blend!! Here are some colors that go well together:
%26gt;Brown %26amp; light brown
%26gt;Pink %26amp; purple
%26gt;Yellow %26amp; gold
%26gt;Black %26amp; dark brown
%26gt;Silver %26amp; white
%26gt;Red %26amp; pink
But remeber these are just suggestions! What are some make up tips when applying eyeshadow?
i like using a small brush to aply light colors or pastel colors. if they are darker colors, i like using a sponge. and then if there is any type of color coordinating to be done, go by layers. :)
I always get good make up tips here.
Hope you like it.
light shade goes on lid and darker color in crease and lightest on eyebrow area
Virtual Makeover is great. You can play with colors and find a look you will love. Then it shows you how to apply your new look. Just click the link below.
Use 3 different colors. Use the lightest as your base. Then use the darkest for the crese of your eye lid, then you can use the remaining shade for just the top of your lids. Use strokes from the outside to the inside. And if you need to blend the colors get a shimmer like the one from cover girl it's a neutral color with a fat brush that's good for blending.
Depending on the effect you are going for...
pay attention to the natural shadows of your face, and aim to exaggerate them. For example, your brow bone is a good area to highlight, and the crease and outer sides of your lids are good to shadow.
For something more dramatic I would recommend a medium shade to start on the entire bottom lid, and a light shade around the brow bone to highlight. Then a third darker shade to use on the outer half of the lid towards the hairline and ear.
For something a bit more natural, subtle, day time, you could use the above technique but with more neutral colors, or simply skip the third shade.
Always be sure to blend blend blend. :]

When eyeshadow make-up and ipod earphones go together. Please help lol?
yesterday i brought the new issue of bliss with the dazzle dust eyeshadow i took it out the packaging and looked at it and probaly not done it up tight enough
Today i was in marks and spencers and got out the magazine to read it and saw that my ipod earphones had been covered in this green eyeshadow and filled my bag with it. the earphones have gone a limey green color and look horrible! ii don't want to put water on it in case it damages that actual earphones. So I'm left with wondering what to do. I've tried from wiping it with tissue, picking it off with nails, everything. Does anyone know how i can get it off?
Putting this question in make-up category and music playersWhen eyeshadow make-up and ipod earphones go together. Please help lol?
tyr to use makeup remover in the from of wipesWhen eyeshadow make-up and ipod earphones go together. Please help lol?
Get some make-up remover and put it on a tissue. Then squeeze the excess liquid from it, so it is just damp. Whipe the earphones. Make sure the tissue is not wet enough that anything drips from it.
I would not put baby oil - or any other kind of oil. Dampen one corner of a washcloth w/some rubbing alcohol. Wipe the earphones w/the damp corner, then wipe off.
get a makeup remover cloth and wipe the headphones...
or if you don't have any get a unused dish cloth and put some makeup remover (cleanser or something) on it and squeeze it so the excess liquid comes off and wipe it off !! ..
or if that doesn't work put some cif on a cloth and wipe the headphones
good luck !! =D
Try wetting a tissue or a towel just a bit so that it won't damage the earphones, and it will get it cleaned.hair growth

Make up question- eyeshadow- Girls only please?
I am 14 and I don't know which shade of eyeshadow I should use. I am a blonde with blue eyes and fair skin. I don't know if the eyeshadow should match my outfit or eyes or be a light color or whatever. So far, I have a pinkish one and a dark blue.Make up question- eyeshadow- Girls only please?
go with the pinkMake up question- eyeshadow- Girls only please?
If none of these answers work for you, you can always go with Almay eyeshadow for Blue eyes, it is colors that go great with your eye color to make em ';pop'; bring out the neautiful blue color ;o) On the back of the packaging it even shows how to apply it if your unsure of where to place the colors on your eyes, hope this helps!
So you only have a light pinkish and blue eyeshadow?!?!?!? Well if so instead of using one boring color why don't you use the light pinkish color on your lid and blend the darkish blue out past the crease line.
Just think of something that will inspire you to use your makeup colors as you want. For summer try bright candy colors.
Dont wear pink.
They will make you look drained and tired.
You can pull off a lot of blues..
and mostly browns and golds.
Check out this brand..
http://sephora.com/browse/brand_hierarch鈥?/a>
Stila is one of my favorites. Its super clean, fresh and chic.
I recommend colors like their wheat, kitten, Mystic and Holly Golightly.
Get funky with some urban decay. Colors like X, Shattered, Mowie Wowie, Smog, and sin.
You can pull of gold under toned Purples and plums as well!
Light pink will do and so will also a light tannish color. I have the same skin tone, hair and eye colors. I use tan. You just need to see what looks better on you.
i have the same features as you and i usually wear pink sparky stuff from charlotte russe but i just switched to a bronz color
Wow I have light blonde hair with blue eyes and fair skin too. I think brown eyeshadow because it really goes w/ a lot. haha I am wearing it right now.
pink
it will bring out your eyes more then the blue. since you already have blue eyes

Do primer make eyeshadow show up better?
im looking for primer and i need to know you primer make you eyeshadow show up better because i order the 120 palette and some color don't show up good will primer help that ?Do primer make eyeshadow show up better?
Yes,the purpose of the eyeshadow primer is to keep eyeshadows from creasing,it keeps the color on longer and the color appears more vibrant so the answer is yes.You should try Urban Decay Primer Potion,I've heard so many great things about that one.You can purchase it at Sephora for $17 or on the website.Do primer make eyeshadow show up better?
Yep, try Urban Decay Primer Potion (a lot of people are going to recommend this) or Too Faced Shadow Insurance which I prefer. They're both great with long staying power and giving life to dull eyeshadows. Another thing, they last a long time so it's worth the price and they are available at Sephora.
Both Primers are $17 a pop.
Good luck!

My mother is going to a wedding and i'm doing her make-up what eyeshadow should i use?
I was thinking of using brown and a little green, would green be too in your face for a wedding?
ThanksMy mother is going to a wedding and i'm doing her make-up what eyeshadow should i use?
well, if she has brown/black eyes, than green is a good choice. If she has blue eyes than maybe a dark (DARK) hue of purple/black would look nice. if she has Hazel eyes than a light green and brown are pretty. if her eyes are green, than I think maybe shades of browns.
but then there's the dress problem...My mother is going to a wedding and i'm doing her make-up what eyeshadow should i use?
It depends on the shades and what lippy she wears. If the lips r drk dnt ovapowa it on the eyes makeup, bu if the lips r lyt then go 4 it on the eyes. Personally i wudnt put brown wid green bu its ur choice, test it out b4 the day 2 c ow it lks
What colour is her dress??
You should go with colors that bring out her outfit. As long as the colors aren't loud and distracting green should be a good choice.
Nothing compares to Chanel eye shadows!!!
i would say like a warm vanilla or toffe
maybe a white with a little baby pink
Bright blue...in case she gets lost.

but then there's the dress problem...My mother is going to a wedding and i'm doing her make-up what eyeshadow should i use?
HELP - What eyeshadow and make-up would be best...?
For fair skin, brown hair (kinda darkish, but not too much), and green eyes. Thanks.HELP - What eyeshadow and make-up would be best...?
Purples and lavender is great with pale skin.
I also reccomend an earthy brown eyeshadow to bring out your green eyes. Since you have dark hair, you could pull off dark mascara, but for a more natural look go for black-brown. Good luck!HELP - What eyeshadow and make-up would be best...?
A blue eyeshadow would bring out your green eyes
try H.I.P i forgot the color name but its blue, and has to different shades in it that nicely complement each other- read that in allure lol
or for a more subtle look, try sweeping gold eye shadow
it looks classy and pretty
try a bronze/brown/gray colored eye liner
not black because then youll look goth chick with your fair skin
unless your looking for that look.

How do you break it to your parents?
Calm down, It's not like you're coming out or anything!
just ask your parents nicely if they'll buy you some cus you're interested in makeup. Worked for me.
And I'm a guy :D (completely straight mind you)
ok so first i would go to them and be like... i want to wear make up and be pretty and look good and wear bright blues and blah blah blah... just tell them that u want to wear some basic neutral colors and that it would be ok for them to help u pick the colors out
hope it works!!!

Depending on your age... If you are under 13 stick with sheer lipgloss.
If over, then ask mom to take you to Clinique and stay with you while they help with products. It is not a really expensive brand and if you let mom in on it she is more likely to go along.
um just mention it to her one day when ur at the mall together...pretend its not a big deal, shell go with that.

What eyeshadow and make up brings out blue-grey eyes. pics included?
my eyes change colors. i can't decide what color they are but as close i guess blue-greay. what eyeshadow color and make up in general should i use to bring them out. thanks
http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd176鈥?/a>What eyeshadow and make up brings out blue-grey eyes. pics included?
I have gray eyes but in certain light they look vaguely green or blue. It depends on what color you want to stand out.
a red-ish purple will make them stand out most probably but it will also make them look almost blue-green
bright blue will make them stand out as gray
black can make you eyes stand out in general but it doesn't always bring out any specific color.
...by the way, in case my misleading icon/avatar is affecting my credibility, I am a girl; I don't know why I made my icon/avatar a boy, i was just bored. What eyeshadow and make up brings out blue-grey eyes. pics included?
Blue Eyes:
As a general rule, those with blue eyes should look for eye makeup in gray, violet, taupe, purple, and deep blue. Many have found using a dark shade of blue will actually bring out the more natural blue tones in your eyes; giving you a brighter and more vibrant look.
Drugstore Suggestions:
1. Violets and Purples: CoverGirl Eye Enhancers, Trio Eye shadow, Dance Party #125, ~$5.00
2. Gray and Deep Blue: Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow, Sultry Smoke #342, ~$7.00
3. Taupe: CoverGirl Eye Enhancers - Single Eye Shadow, Tapestry Taupe #760, ~$4.00
Hazel Eyes:
Those with hazel eyes should go toward more neutral colors such as brown. Many hazel gals have found that brown-based shades give them a fail-proof, gorgeous look every time. Pink is also considered to be a member of the brown family, though few realize it.
Most hazel-eyed folks who have mastered the art of eye shadow swear by a combination of pinks, browns, and occasionally greens.
Drugstore Suggestions:
1. Pinks and Browns: Almay intense i-Color Shadow Trio, for Hazel Eyes, ~$8.00
2. Greens: CoverGirl Eye Enhancers - Trio Eye Shadow, Sea Glass #120, ~$5.00
Other shades of blue and some bronze colors do well. alot of makeup brands have the tri color or quad for your specific eye color. i also know this bc i have blue..blue grey eyes myself. also try a blue eye liner. i like putting a light tan color fully over the eyelid and then over it on thelower part light blue and then a navy blue eye liner. sounds tacky but if its done right it looks well put together. ( i use black black mascara too if that helps out.)
My eyes are very similar color like yours. What I do is I look at Miley Cyrus' make up because she has the same eye color like me. Here are some pics:

Get a grayish silver eyeshadow. I think that would give you a nice different look. Metalic shades should look good. Of course, you can put some mascara and a light toned down shade of lipstick.I think metallic blue or green eyeshadow would also look good for party wear.
like an olive green, or a maroonish tint..
not too dark and not too light...
mac has awesome colors that will make your eyes pop..
just an idea: sweep a neutral beige on your eyelid, a maroon on your crease and the olive green on the outer corners of your lids.
blend blend blend
dont foreget the black mascara
to be honest, i don't actually think you need it. you've got very pretty eyes anyway, eyeshadow might take away from that. sorry i can't help more.
Very pretty! You could really rock smoky eye color. Use dark browns and pink accent.
Brown but your eyes are such a pretty color you dont need it
white
green maybe
purple..
you want it to contrast
even black would work
wow...beautiful eyes :)
u can try light pink/ green / blue/ light purple.....or else metalic colors like golden or bronze ...but i feel ur eyes r so beautiful that they need not any makeup :)
brown/bronze
bronze shimmer powder would look really nice i think
brown and purple

How do i choose the right make up (eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation/powder)?
I am fair skinned and have an almost white complexion, i have blue eyes and long, light brown curly hair could you please recommend the correct make-up i could use for my skin colouring? How do i choose the right make up (eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation/powder)?
Cover girl has a new chart out to help you decide what the best shades are for foundation, concealor and blush. They all coordinate with each other. It really help me, and the best I have ever found for my complexion in 20 years.
As far as eyes, I wouldnt use anything too dark . It has been said that pale browns/pinks look best on blue eyes, and that is what I use.How do i choose the right make up (eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation/powder)?
you would look good with a peach colored blush and maybe a little foundation with the eyes i would go with the almay color coordinated color sceam
Golds, browns bronze and tans/ peaches would be best for your eye color. Do you have a redder undertone or blueish undertone? Reddish is warm skin tone, Blueish is Cool skin tone, and then there is neutral. You need to figure out witch one you are so you can pick out the best color of foundations and powders suitable for your skin. Nudes and light pinks look good on fair skinned lips. Hope that helps.
firstly its all about the undertones of your skin, you will be either a cool tone or a warm tone you can generally tell this by the clothes that you wear which ones really suit you and make you look good! IE is it that blue jumper or your yellow jacket cool colours contain blues and pink and warm colours contains yellow IE black is cool brown is warm! Now make up:
Foundation: test 3 or 4 different ones on your face and the one that almost disappears into your skin is the correct colour.
Eyeshadow: you cant go wrong with a browns and beige's if you want stronger colours this is where your cool and warm tones come into play!
Cheeks: again depends on cool or warm so either Pink or Peach but to be honest you cant go wrong with a good bronzer (body shop is a good one)
Lips: cool or warm again!
Always wear Black mascara
Translucent Pressed powder (No7 pressed light is a good one)
I hope this helps, Ive worked on many faces in my job, and these guidelines usually work for me in my job! good Luck
I am fair skinned and have blue eyes, and I tend to go for smoky grey eyes and clear lipgloss. I always pick the lightest foundation colour that is made, and then slap a bit of bronzer on!
Actually Mary Kay has a website that shows you a bunch of different looks and you could check out the models who have your hair color and complexion. Its very helpful. Look under Color 101
I love to go to Mary Kay . Com and click on ';Virtual Make-Over'; if you pick out the matching skin color and eye color it will help you find the matching colors. And if you dont want to use Mary Kay make-up I like to print it off and go to the store and find matching colors with the cheaper brands!
Oh and it also helps you apply it on correctly! Hope this helps!
listent the best advice you could get is if you go to a cosmetics shop or a beauty salon and ask. the best is to go to a shop where they sell cosmetics line and ask them what suits your colour more. i would say that you need a light coloured foundation and a little darker powder on top. then the lipsticks and eyeshadows depends on what you are trying to give out to the people. like if you wanna play it simple go for lighter colurs with mascara but you might want to give off a vampy look. ... then you wear red lipstick and smoky eyes. it depends...i hope i helped you with my answer ...xxx
i use maybelline foundation at moment! use the everfresh one thats good for fair skin! found bourjois eye shadows are pretty good too, i have blue eyes, and find white pinks n browns look quite good! lancome juicy tubes are defo best lipgloss around u should defo purchase sum of that!!! although a use that makeup at moment am goin to buy some of the new jemma kidd range think mite try it out. dont kno if it any good tho yet! but they sell it at boots u mite want to check it out! x x
I would suggest asking a friend/work colleague who is of a similar age and colouring for her advice (assuming you like the way she does her make up). Don't go to a beauty counter in department store for a make up lesson like I did. The make up was heavy, I looked older and it was so thick I needed a spatula to scrape it off!!
the best thing to do is to go into a department store and ask them to try it for you. try foundation on your jaw line, not the back of your hand as it's not the same shade.
get a free makeover... most big shops do it.
with make up you have to experiment
this is the fun part.
you don't want anything too dark, maybe a light coloured pinkish blusher, black mascara and a bit of lip gloss. i'd go to a beauty counter say in Boots and ask them what they'd recommend too. More is less with make up though and as your fair i wouldn't over do it.
I am very fair as well, i stay out of the sun and use good sun block. I have blue/green eyes and light Blond hair - i found Christian Dior's liquid foundation has a nice light colour which blends and covers really well - expensive but lasts for at less six months because of the quality, worth every penny. Stick to light colours and neutral lipsticks which are a few shades darker then your natural complexion for every day makeup or a lip-gloss (darker for evening). I good blusher can help - again be careful to not go to dark - test in the shop if you are in the pink or orange range as this can look wrong if you go for the incorrect shade.
A good everyday style for eye shadow is a pearl base colour on the lid (for the sparkle mostly) and a small amount of black (or dark colour to match outfit of the day) just along the edge near the lashes - only go to the centre of the eye. Remember less is more - if you apply it well the natural look will get plenty of complements. Mascara to finish it off - i have dark lashes so i wear clear mascara which helps control the shape and cleans off any fallen powder from putting the makeup on. Good luck - experiment and enjoy.

Firstly you have to check which colour season you belong to 鈥?Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. This is because different seasons will fit different shades of a same colour. All eyeshadow make up brushes?
theres so many. which one is a necessity for a girl who loves eye shadow?
a know about a crease brush and a smudge brush..what else? All eyeshadow make up brushes?
i think every girl needs in general other than eyeshadow a foundation brush and blush brush contouring brush then for eyeshadow an eyeshadow brush a crease brush and a blending brush if you want somthing not as expensive as somthing like mac the go to costal scents they have really good brushes that are really well priced
http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/鈥?/a>All eyeshadow make up brushes?
here are the necessity brushes to apply make-up
# Foundation brush. With cream or powder foundation, a foundation brush is key. It gives better and more natural blending than a sponge, and also allows for better control.
# Blush brush. A light touch and an excellent brush is absolutely necessary with blush.
# Brow brush. This stiff, spiral and wiry brush is used to catch the hard-to-move hairs of your eyebrows.
# Crease brush. The slightly flared shape of this brush makes it ideal for filling in the crease of your eye with shadow.
# Lid brush. These come in either flat-head or a rounded-head styles. The brush should be about 1/2 an inch wide and very flat.
# Kohl blender: With a good eyeliner Kohl pencil, you also need a stiff, conical foam blending brush. Run it over the line and the color will blend out--and as a bonus, any stray marks will fade in.
# Concealer brush. If you have a blemish or dark circles that you would prefer be covered up, apply your concealer after your foundation. It helps it set and blend better.
this is one of my fav brushes ever, I use it ALL the time with my applications.
';Professionnel All Over Shadow Brush - Large #21
What it is:
This brush applies shadow to the entire lid, evenly.
What it does:
The wide shape and condensed, evenly distributed bristles make sure that your whole lid is uniformly covered in just a couple strokes. The thicker handle gives you more control as well. It's a must-have for applying any base color effortlessly.';

:DI just dyed my hair jet black. What color make up (blush, eyeshadow, lip color) will look good.?
for the eyes, i would do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWcpEy7aq鈥?/a>
it looks GREAT with black hair
some green eyeshadows, bright lipsticks, i like dollymix in blush from M.A.C and some mascara
use bright colors like blue orange green or pink on your eyes, and a natural looking blush
Brown eyeshadows
Pink lipstick..
I'd go with natural tones...too dark will look goth and too colorful might look funny.

Is there a way i can make Bratz make up kit eyeshadow look good?
I wanted to know cause i found a cool eye make up technique(i think i spelled that right,Ha! i can't spell) that include Purple eyeshadow
The link is here, It's the first picture, http://makeup.lovetoknow.com/Pictures_of_Cool_Eye_Makeup and i'm a big fan of purple eyeshadow.
Anything? Is there a way i can make Bratz make up kit eyeshadow look good?
i'd suggest going JcPenny's or Khols they have great make up. JCP has a big palette of colors but Kohls has this flirt eye shadow that stays on longer and it has a more beautiful color and shine to it.
I have every color so i know how you feelIs there a way i can make Bratz make up kit eyeshadow look good?
Yea, I like it. You need Dark purple at the bottom and outer edges, then you need middle purple then pinky at the top.
hahahaha you loser
why not jut buy grown up eyeshadow. Bratz probably won't look good or last long

How do i put on eyeshadow and make uP?? First timer!! ?
im new at this n i wanted to kno how do i put on eyeshadow and other stuff without looking like a clown?? i have light brown eyes, deep dark eyeshadows and super light brown hair. thanks!!How do i put on eyeshadow and make uP?? First timer!! ?
First, buy a primer. I would suggest Urban Decay Primer Potion. You can get it at Sephora for 16 dollars.
Then, buy your favorite color of eye shadow. Also, buy a light highlighter for the top of your eyeshadow color. It should be a bit lighter than your skin tone, it should bring out and highlight your eyeshadow a bit. And, buy an eyeshadow shade that is similar to the other eyeshadow shade, but darker a bit.
Then, buy one eyeshadow crease brush. This will sorta highlight where your eyelid crease is. If the eyeshadows you bought don't include eyeshadow applicators, then buy an eyeshadow brush.
Remember to buy makeup remover. If you are on a budget, then just use cold water to remove it.
Now time for makeup application.
1) Apply the urban decay primer potion on your eyelids. Just a small little dap is needed. Then, just rub it on your eyelid with your finger.
2) Then apply some eyeshadow only on the eyelid, on the bottom of your eyelid crease. Make sure its on the bottom. Before you do that, I will teach you what is the crease.
http://www.makeupmania.com/images/eye_w_鈥?/a>
(the round line on top of the eyelid)
3) Then add the other eyeshadow(darker one) on the crease line with the creasing brush. Make sure its a light coat, not too heavy.
4) Then, use your blending brush to blend out the colors, just make sure it looks dimmensional and shadowy sorta.
5) Get the highlighter, and using the eyeshadow brush(washed), apply some on top of your crease and on the bottom of your eyebrows. Just a light coat, and follow your eyebrow as your doing it.
DONEEEE [:How do i put on eyeshadow and make uP?? First timer!! ?
For your first time you should try the basics.
Use a concealer palette/kit and apply yellow to ur dark circles %26amp; use green to even out red patches or spots.
Use minimal eye makeup, try waterproof mascara and black eyeliner on your bottom waterline and inside your tear ducts.
Apply some foundation if you'd like to even out your skin.
Use a light pink blush to give yourself a natural looking glow or bronzer to contour your cheek bones.
Finish off with some clear lip balm/gloss and use nude lip liner and blend inwards with your lip balm.
For eyeshadow use neutral colours like soft beiges and browns.
Start off with choosing a color like soft beige and cover your whole eyelid, then with another shade start blending it in from the outer corner of your eyes and towards. Use same colour/or another and blend in crease. Use a highlighter for under your eyebrow area.
Hope this helped , also check youtube videos of how to apply neutral eyeshadows and for applying makeup for first timers.

I think that trying makeup on with brushes for the first time is pretty hard. Blending is everything, so experiment by dabbing the color on your fingers and trying it on you eyelids.
It always takes practice.

What kinda of make up (eyeshadow, etc) for a ivory prom dress?
K my dress is long, poofy, strapeless, ivory, and has little bluish turquoise accents that are sequins on the top. I have fair skin, blue eyes, and blond hair. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Also what kinda tux would you put with this? black, ivory, or maybe even chocolate? Right now he chose an ivory one but we'll see.
thanksWhat kinda of make up (eyeshadow, etc) for a ivory prom dress?
sounds pretty, I would go with smokey eyes, especially since your eyes are blue. if you go to mac to get your makeup professionally done, you only have to spend $40 at their store. that's two eye shadows that you can bring for touch ups.
you dont need to match the entire tux to the dress, personally i think black on black tuxs are hot with a tie to match your dress. What kinda of make up (eyeshadow, etc) for a ivory prom dress?
wear a clear or light pink lip gloss, i also wear a light blue/pink shadow and like you dobrown eyeliner and black mascara. -------
or you can try......
Blue eyeliner looks very pretty with blue eyes. It will really make them pop. Then put your mascara on top.
Put some blush on to give your cheeks a flushed look (if they don't have it already). Then you could go for a pink lip gloss. If you felt the need you could put pink eyeshadow.
~colors that are safe to use~~
colours of eyeliner
black %26amp; white (bring out your eyes and really nice)
colours of eyeshadow
pink
blue
white
grey
they all bring out your eyes and look good
and an ivory tux would look good
For the makeup, the Taylor Swift look {shimmery colors, cat-eye liquid liner} would be really pretty. As for the tux, I'd go with black, but put an ivory tie with it that has some kind of turquoise accent {similar to the ones on your dress} at the top at the part where it ties.
i think adding eye shadow will through off your eyes cause there blue and the turquoise always helps bring out my blue eyes. A simple eye will do fine and if not i def would not dot he whole smokey eye that will be WAY much. keep it simple for sure.

How do you make eyeshadow show up better? Like a scene kid would wear it?
i saw a website a while ago that told you what to mix with normal eye shadow to make it what scene kids wear.
Help? How do you make eyeshadow show up better? Like a scene kid would wear it?
well the way i get my eye shaddow really bright is to put some liquid foundation on my eyelids but just a little or else it looks fake then put the eyeshaddow on it makes it last longer and it looks better. If what you want is actual scene kid colors then you really should try some of hot topics makeup its not all black they have almost any color you can think of and it stays on all day, it looks exactly like when you put it on, and the best part, its cheap =]How do you make eyeshadow show up better? Like a scene kid would wear it?
A scene kid? Cn you tell us what the website is called?
Water makes eyeshadow darker and thicker.
wet the brush you are applying the eyeshadow with, then coat the brush with the shadow and apply.
umm a cream that you can rub on your eyelids that helps it stick and make it more vibrant r a little clear lip gloss works wonders... i use it all the time
I think you should get Loreal Hip Eyeshadow. Their eyeshadows are GREAT AND INTENSE. Try getting shimmer eyeshadow. I think that you should putting more eyeshadow on. Try to get some high pigmented colors and not neccessarily Scene Kids Wear.
you can put on more or wear darker colors or mix the colors
hope it helps or u can use other eye shadow like loreal or chanel M.A.C
hmm, scene kid? just pile it all on.

Make up [eyeshadow & such) looks ridiculous because my head is small and it over powers my whole face?
am i just going crazy or does this sound like you or anyone you know? anything i could do about it?Make up [eyeshadow %26amp; such) looks ridiculous because my head is small and it over powers my whole face?
natural is the best look, use lip gloss in colors close to your natural color, same for blush and / or foundation. too much Mascara and eyeliner can look overwhelming. go with browns unless your have really dark hair %26amp; brows. Eyeshadow should enhance your eye color ( I have heard that opposite colors on the color wheel are best ways to enhance)Make up [eyeshadow %26amp; such) looks ridiculous because my head is small and it over powers my whole face?
hm...i think you need to even it out...like wear eye shadow but also wear lip gloss...dont over do it on anything...liveupdate

What color of eyeshadow or make up looks good with blue eyes on 13 year old?
I'm turning 13 soon and i'm hoping that my mom will let me wear at least an eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss to school. The point is that i dont know wat colors would look good on me. I have brown hair, dark eyelashes, and my eyes are dark blue. They have some gray in them and sometines you can see some yellow or green in them. What make up colors would look good on me?What color of eyeshadow or make up looks good with blue eyes on 13 year old?
first of all, i recommend covergirl and maybelline.
Eyeshadow: light purple, a lighter blue (lighter than your eyes), gray [the smokey eye look would be good], pink, brown (it REALLY brings out your eyes)
Mascara: charcoal gray, chocolate brown, blackest black
Eyeliner: brown, gray, black, purple, blue
Lip gloss: a lighter pink for lighter skin and hair, a deeper color for darker skin and hair. from you description of yourself, something in the middle sounds good
any of those should do, just don't do anything overly dramatic or something that will make you look like your trying to hard. you're still young, and enjoy that!

no problem!
good luckk :) Report Abuse
I know how that is because i have blue eyes and im 14 now and i was wondering the same thing before i turned 13.Dont use blue-on-blue eyes, that will take away the quality of your eye color(lol i tried that before). Use natural blend colors,or light soft colors like pink. If you want to know more just message me i dont mind.
Wear neutral eyeshadow for your age. I think light browns look great with blue eyes, plus it's not too dramatic for school. Just look for a nice light-mid tone brown at the drug store and apply it on your lid. Good luck!
brown would look nice :]
i have a friend who has brown hair and blue eyes and she wears brown eyeliner and mascara and it looks great. i don't like lip gloss because its sticky so i'd stick with chapstick. don't wear too much!!
if you dont know what colors to wear you shouldn't be wearing it. you wear makeup because you want to enhance your features, not just for the sake of wearing makeup. you're 13, tons of years to worry about makeup
wear brown or pink eyeshadow, it will go good with ur skin. and wear a little mascara. also white shadow would be super pretty too.
browns they say bring out blue eyes.
I have blue eyes but I dont wear eyeshadow.
I just put on some eyeliner and SOMETIMES mascara and my eyes pop
the best color i think would be light pink or a brown...always try sparkles! :) for mascara dont wear black...try a lighter mascara. and for lipgloss try a more natural color that goes with ur skin color...good luckk!!!!
light brown or creme

What is the best eyeshadow make up brand?
Something that stays on and isn't too expensive. What is the best eyeshadow make up brand?
mac !!!!!!!!!
well you want to look good dont you ?
i mean you wouldnt think twice about buyin a top for 20 dollars if it looked good, chances are you'll wear it only a few times.
make up ? makes you look good every day !
no point buying cheap make up that will jus crumble off you. if you dont have the money save til you buy the right make up .What is the best eyeshadow make up brand?
i like for the cheap brands, hip, and the regular loreal...loreal has a bit more pigment than something like covergirl or maybaline...and its usually softer in feel...which is a good sign for an eye shaddow i think...usually the finer stuff is an easier over all glide of the color you want...i also think that fresh minerals has great eye shaddows so pigmented as well but in both natural and intense colors.
Have you ever hear of Artistry庐? it's the best selling internet makeup and it's warranted or your money back within 180 days. i'll give you the link so you can compare the brands. its

i would try an eyeshadow that has natural pigments in it as most eyeshadow is just filled with talc and other daft things.try MAC not to expensive but could work or even something like lorelle or maybeline even the body shop!you will find that natural ones are the best gud luk
Maybeline
I really like using MAC.......they have alot of cool colors!
I really like Maybelline. The color lasts for quite a long time, and doesnt just brush off when you rub your eyes. :)
hey gal!
i know just the right eyeshadow..
sephora eye shadow is the best. it stays on longer and isn't expensive and it looks tottally kool!
Covergirl!
I'd go with e/s from Sonia Kashuk at Target. Lower prices than high end, and her black handled brushes are excellent. A good brush can take a so so eye shadow and make it work.
Overall, I recommend MAC - yes more expensive. But the powder eyeshadows (satin, veluxe, frost, matte, matte2, etc) last and last. I have some eyeshadows that are 9 yrs old - they don't smell funny or are discolored (so they don't need to be recycled at Bac2MAC yet). They are so pigmented that you don't need much on your brush - therefore, not a lot of waste.

Mostly I Would Use Boujouis But It May Be Too Expensive For You Depending On Your Budget??!!??

a beginner?I'm having the hardest time applying powder eyeshadow, but I can't pinpoint why... Would cream be easier for
Asker, in my opinion cream shadows really suck...all they do is look funny and come off your lid creases more than you want them to as the day wears on. Try finding a eye shadow primer (not too many companies make primers, but Mary Kay makes the best I think - I swear by it - I use it every day, and it comes in a gray tube) or, if you can't, use a good liquid concealer and apply that to your eyelids and then afterwards use the powder shadow (I like Clinique Airbrush concealer). You'll see a world of difference in how much easier the powder applies, plus it stays on all day and does not show (or come off) your creases.I'm having the hardest time applying powder eyeshadow, but I can't pinpoint why... Strange....I have no problem with powder eyeshadow...
You should try sth else.
if it's from 2005, it must be old by now. maybe that's the problem? /:-l
... if i just read that wrong r somethin then sry. i think u should get cream
you could also try applying the eyeshadow with a damp eyeshadow brush. this keeps the sprinkles from spreading, giving you a more precise effect....and your eyeshadow has probably expired, if it is from 2005. you may simply need to purchase new eyeshadow.
Mac is a good shadow ...but not for beginners... it is a strong blend...First try putting a little foundation or base on you lids...then very lightly dip your brush n the eye shadow...tap off excess and aply slowly...then blend very well..just do that until you get the color you like...look at some make up sites and it will show you in the orders to put it on...
Use eyeshadow primer.
Have you tired appling with your finger?
Yeah cream would probly be easier for ya.
They say never aply eyeshadow using ur finger but i have always done it and it has a gr8 finish.
For a more drematic effect wet ur finger first then gently rub it into ur shadow then apply. dont use cream it looks tacky and after a while leavs a tacky finish also smudges. **** luck xx

Could i use a cream concealer 4 a primer? b4 i put on powder eyeshadow?
Yes, I used to use cream concealer all the time as a primer for eye shadows. I never used to have a problem using concealers as a base. The creamier the concealer the better because it allows the powder shadow to adhere better to the eyelid.
Of course primers are the best, but if you are out of them or they're not in your budget, concealer works great!Could i use a cream concealer 4 a primer? b4 i put on powder eyeshadow?
You would be better using a eyeshadow primer, available from most beauty parlours, avon and make up stands.
They give a better base than foundation or concealer, and make your eyeshadow last a lot longer, but I don't think it will do you any harm apart from slight drying of the skin if you use concealer.
Hope this helps.Could i use a cream concealer 4 a primer? b4 i put on powder eyeshadow?
Yeh sure!
I use a stick concealer over my eyes before applying eyeshadow %26amp; it helps it stay on much longer and doesn't crease as much :)
Sure - but a skin primer works better, or a liquid to powder foundation.
You could... but foundation is better. Because concealer dries out your skin.
you could, but apply a thin layer.
