Homemade Cream eyeshadow?

i only have two shades of cream eyeshadow, and ALOT of powder eyeshadow. Is theire any way to create cream eyeshadow from scratch? or with your powder makup?Homemade Cream eyeshadow?
i wondered about that!

i think there might be some kind of gel...

IM really sorry...that was no help at all.. uhh...Homemade Cream eyeshadow?
You could dip your brush in water and then put the powder shadow on it and make it sort of a wet shadow...personally it makes my shadow wear longer and the color look better but its not exactly a ';cream'; consistency.
This is what I have read everywhere :

It says to mix your powder eyeshadow with any lotion, mix, and there you have it, cream eyeshadow.

So pretty much, just mix lotion with your powder eyeshadow.

  • Best cream eyeshadow?

    I would like something in a pale gold, or a pale gold with some yellow-y tones.

    Any suggestions?Best cream eyeshadow?
    Revlon's got the best cream shadows. They also have really cool limited edition shadows. To make them last all day make sure you prime your eye lid first. A bit of foundation and/or powder will do the trict. Annabelle also has some great cream shadows, but they really need your eye lid to be primed.Best cream eyeshadow?
    Guerlain.
    Benefit creme eyeshadows are the absolute best -- I have tried so many different ones and it seems no matter what -- even if I use an eyeshadow primer -- they always crease somehow. This one doesn't!! It's awesome and it comes in a variety of colors. You can apply it with your fingers all over and then use a concealer brush for more detailed work! My favorite color is tattle tell!! It's really cute also because in each box -- there's a little fortune -- way cute!! You can find Benefit @ Macys!! Good Luck!
    revlon cream eyeshadow! stay away from maybelline matte eyeshadow far far away bad stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!

    What is eyeshadow cream?

    i got a makeup kid and it came with 4 eyeshadow creams: pink, 2 shades of brown, and plue.What is eyeshadow cream?
    The eyeshadow creams are so cool because of the diffrent colors.

    However, the cream shadows tend to crease and not last as long.

    The one positive thing about them is that there is no powder falling onto your face.What is eyeshadow cream?
    Many popular eyeshadows come in powdered form and contain talc, but there are also cream and liquid shadows. Cream shadows should be used above the crease of the eye and are not recommended for the area below the eye, as they can develop a crepe-like texture, adding years to the appearance of the eyes.
    A color eyeshadow for your EYES. A cream variety is smoother to apply and easier to blend.
    Its just like regular eye shadow, only its a cream. They don't usually stay on as long as regular shadows do though. but they can add a nice look
    is ';plue'; the name of a new color?

    MAC Paint Pots or Benefit Cream Eyeshadow/Liner?

    What one is best? xMAC Paint Pots or Benefit Cream Eyeshadow/Liner?
    The best one i've ever tried is Bobbi Brown gel pot eyeliner, its amazing, just make sure you wash the brush after use or it will dry out and it hurts and you can't use it.MAC Paint Pots or Benefit Cream Eyeshadow/Liner?
    definitely benefit ! personally i think MAC make up is heavy and bad for the skin

    Would a cream eyeshadow work well as..?

    a base for powder eyeshadow?

    thnx Would a cream eyeshadow work well as..?
    cream eye shadows work really well for me.

    They are nice and they stay on for awhile.

    + it doesn't feel like there is anything on..

    I like them

    xoxo

    kendraWould a cream eyeshadow work well as..?
    Yes, cream eyeshadow would work well as a base.

    But...

    if you have oily lids, you may experience some creasing. So, it is best to use a regular base first, then the cream eyeshadow, then a powder eyeshadow. [Why even use the cream eyeshadow then? Well, cream eyeshadow will really intensify your powder eyeshadow. It really does!]

    If you have normal-dry lids, cream eyeshadow as a base usually works fine (it works fine for me).

    Remember to BLEND your cream eyeshadow with a brush or your ring finger to smooth it out and have a nice thin coating. THEN, place ur powder eyeshadow on top, and remember to PAT it on, NOT rub.

    it depends on what quality the cream shadow is, you have to be careful of creases with cream shadow even if your using it as a base.

    Cream eyeshadow recommendation?

    Can anyone recommend a cream eyeshadow for my Mum who's in her 70's as she's allergic to all powder shadows (so cream ones that go powdery are no good either). The main problem is that all the cream eyeshadows she can find are sparkly or shimmery and she doesn't want this effect (due to her age, mostly, I think).

    She needs help! (She's lovely too, so she deserves help)Cream eyeshadow recommendation?
    1. Paint Pot.

    2. Paint.

    3. Cream Colour Base.

    4. Shadestick.

    5. Mineralize eye shadow.

    6. Pigments.

    All by MAC.

    1. EARTH GODDESS MINERALS.

    2. BEAUTY FROM THE EARTH.

    3. HEAVENLY NATURALS.

    4. COASTAL SCENTS.

    5. CRIME LIME MAKE UP.

    6. EVERYDAY MINERALS.

    7. FACE FRONT MAKE UP.

    8. BARE ESCENTUALS.

    All these are entirely minerals so they are really gentle on the skin like treatment, and you can find them online, you won`t find them in SEPHORA, or ULTA, they are only online, and they all have their own sites.

    Hope that helped.

    Good Luck.

    Good Bye.

    Say Hello to her from me.Cream eyeshadow recommendation?
    I really like Benefit's creaseless cream shadows, because they don't crease (as the name suggests!). Most creams end up in the lines of my eyelids after about 10 minutes, but these stay put. They are pretty pricey, but they're the only cream shadow I've used that stay put! I've included the link below so you can see the colours - some of them are shimmery, but I don't think all of them are. You're probably best to go look at them in a store first, just to check the colours :)
    Take a look here, you have a whole collection of cream eye-shadows/.
    Anything my MaxFactor or Maybelline is a good start. They're usually reliable for everything else.
    maybe those mineral ones, the Bare Minerals are great and stay on until you wash it off.
    none, they're all crap sorry.

    I need a cream eyeshadow that doesnt crease!?

    ^^ thanks :)I need a cream eyeshadow that doesnt crease!?
    try eyeglides by revlon. they go on as a cream, but they kind of dry as a powder. i like them :)I need a cream eyeshadow that doesnt crease!?
    Try Nars' cream eyeshadows

  • Can we make our own cream eyeshadow?

    It depends what type you are looking for. If you just want a sheer wash of colour then you can mix a little eyeshadow with a little petroleum jelly like vasoline. It can look delicate and pretty but doesn't really have much staying power. Cosmetic cream shadows have much more ingredients that help keep your eyeshadow at it's best for longer so to be honest it's far easier to buy one. You can however mix eyeshadow in with cosmetic cream shadow to change the colour or pat another colour on top of your cream shadow for different effects. Hope this helps.Can we make our own cream eyeshadow?
    yes, but i don't see how lol

    Does cream eyeshadow last?

    or does it just come off or clump if u sweat or ur eyelids get greasy?

    can u recomend a good one to me?Does cream eyeshadow last?
    I'm not a big fan of cream shadow. But I love Maybelline Liquid Eyes. It doesn't crease or clump up and it doesn't wear off easily. It's pretty easy to apply too. It's as close to cream eyeshadow as I get.Does cream eyeshadow last?
    cream eyeshadow doesn't last long.

    it creases bad and gets greasy, i wouldn't

    recommend it.
    All of them always end up in the creases of your eyelids. I have never found one that stays in place. Try layering a cream eyeshadow over a powder one.
    I hate them because no matter what they always get clumpy in the crease of my eyelids. Powder shadow is the way to go in my opinion.
    A lot of this depends on your eyelids and how you apply it. If you are prone to creasing or have more oily eyelids than you will have to spend more time working with it.

    There are a number of great cream eyeshadows out there. If you want a more velvet look than Illuminare makes incredible cream shadows. The color range is limited and you need to work quickly to smooth it out before it sets. I believe they also sell trial packs so you can sample the colors.

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/collections/collection.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY20903 I am test driving one today and so far it has held up great!

    When applying you just want to make sure to apply thin layers. If you cake it on then you are going to have problems later on. Apply a thin layer allow it to set and then build up. To really set it apply a similar color eyeshadow over top or a translucent face powder. This will help absorb any remaining oils. Same goes with this step as before. Don't apply it too heavily just do light layers and build up.
    I personally hate the stuff...it always ends up getting stuck in the creases of your eyelids..making you look like a clown.
    All eyeshadow wears off, so what you should do is get Mary Kay Eye Primer. This product will keep your eyeshadow looking fresh and like you just put it on!

    Your thoughts? Have you ever tried it? Do you think it would actually work? Thanks :) **hehe**Does anyone know if it would be a good idea to use a cream stick foundation as an eyeshadow base?
    I'm guessing it wouldn't hurt. I would also suggest thinking about using the liquid eyeshadow or the kind that is just like cream with color.Does anyone know if it would be a good idea to use a cream stick foundation as an eyeshadow base?
    No it wouldn't

    ColorStay eyeshadows are great, especially the new mineral ones - love them. Never use the cream W n W one sorry.Has anyone used Revlon Color Stay Eyeshadow? Does the cream Wet and Wild One stay on longer?

    Powder eyeshadows work better and last longer. Creme ones tend to crese laster.

    Use a dusting of powder, or a couple dabs of your concealer. Should work as a base.HELP!!!!!For make up if I don't have cream eyeshadow for the base what ...?
    Vaseline. I always use that.
    Try using a thin layer of Vaseline. Or, you can use some lip gloss (Don't use Carmex b/c it'll tingle your eyelids too much.) Then, apply your eyeshadow as normal. I actually use these methods INSTEAD of cream shadow b/c it lasts longer.
    Apply the eyeshadow with a wet Qtip. It will last great.

  • How to make cream eyeshadow?

    okay so i need a little help here.

    i want to know (if possible) how to make cream eyeshadow at home?

    i prefer shades like brown and such...

    please and thank you...How to make cream eyeshadow?
    You have to have a powder of the desired color, then mix it with some vaseline.

    You could use powder blush or even foundation to mix with vaseline, just apply it on the eyelids.

    There you go!How to make cream eyeshadow?
    Ok, personally I haven't tried this before but what you could try is mixing your regular luquid foundation with the powder..There you got it..Try it..It might work.
    get a little eye shadow and get the creme out of the refridgerator ...if you don't have any use a little milk and mix

    There you go .....cream eye shadow
    I once tried wet talcum powder with cocoa.

    I badly damaged my eyes, and I don't recommend putting anything homemade in your eyes.
    At makeuptalk.com there is a whole section of the forum dedicated to this topic of making your own makeup:)

    Also check out tkb trading company

    I make some by taking loose mineral makeup and adding Aloe vera juice.

    Setting cream glitter eyeshadow?

    Glitter eyeshadow is fun and glam, but using cream shadow...it loves to get EVERYWHERE! Any tips for keeping it put? I tried using a powder to put it on over it lightly to try and set it. But it still likes to escape...I just really love this cream glitter shadow, so I'd like to see if I could keep it put rather than having to toss it in the bottom of the bin.Setting cream glitter eyeshadow?
    this kinda a stupid answer but bring a mirror in the bath tub and do it in theirSetting cream glitter eyeshadow?
    I love getting creamed.
    You should use an eyeshadow primer to keep the glitter on since when the glitters stuck to something it won't escape as easily well of course unless you rub it.Try Urban Decays Primer Potion from Sephora. ;)If that doesn't work a bit of vaeline sure does help since it's very sticky.A little bit of clear lipgloss might be your best bet and one that isn't so sticky.
    ive never used primer but maybe try putting a thin layer of vaseline on your eyelid first, it should stick to it =D
    Have you tried using a primer specifically for eyes? I use Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
    Eye shadow primers are excellent but if you want a home remedy then either use vaseline or a clear lip gloss. I use to use loose glitter on my eyes for special occassions like football games %26amp; I would use clear lip gloss to hold the glitter in place. Sounds kind of gross, and it is a little sticky but it works great.

  • Revlon illuminance cream eyeshadow good ?

    i want an inexpensive eyeshadow that last long enough for at least seven hours for promRevlon illuminance cream eyeshadow good ?
    wearing the cream shadows alone sucks,

    believe me.

    it doesn't give much color and it creases pretty bad.

    but when they are worn as a base under another shadow they work pretty well at keeping the shadow on for a good amount of time.Revlon illuminance cream eyeshadow good ?
    yes I think most of revlons make up works really good, make sure u apply enough but not too much, and it shouldnt fade all night.

    I just bought a cream eyeshadow palate...what can i do?

    to keep it from creasing in the lids and looking built up and gross after a short period of time. i tried applying powder over the lid first...no luckI just bought a cream eyeshadow palate...what can i do?
    dont put as much on =] smooth it outI just bought a cream eyeshadow palate...what can i do?
    buy a primer :) i love UDPP (urban decay primer potion) or TFSI (too faced shadow insurance) it will keep it from creasing :) you can buy them at Sephora, or online :) and just use a little less if you are using a lot, that will help too :)
    i agree with italian bellllla - urban decay primer potion works wonders. my eyeshadow stays put all day. you might also want to dust some translucent/setting powder (bare escentuals mineral veil, for example) on top of the eyeshadow before applying mascara.

    Can you use LOREAL cream eyeliner as a eyeshadow?

    There is no way that I'm going to use a green eyeliner everyday. I just thought the color of it was so pretty, so i use it wen i need something different. But there is so much in the pot, I dont want it to go bad. So have anybody used this as an eyeshadow. is this a good idea?Can you use LOREAL cream eyeliner as a eyeshadow?
    I wouldn't. But you can use eyeshadow as an eyeliner.Can you use LOREAL cream eyeliner as a eyeshadow?
    Yea or u can use it as an eyeshadow base to help your eyeshadow stay on ur lids all day. Go for it
    No!! i have tried it it dosent work it will come off.
    yeah, that'd be fine! Go for it girl

    Cream eyeshadow and foundation?

    ok so i know that if you put on the foundation first before the creamy eyeshadow it helps from creasing but what kindaof foundation is better, liquid or power'd?Cream eyeshadow and foundation?
    Neither,,, I use Bare Minerals make up.. You can find it on QVC.com, the Bare Minerals web site or Sephora.com. Its a powder coverage that is feather feather light and matches your skin tone perfectly. Also I have very very sensative skin and this stuff is so natural that it improves my skin. Yes it cost 30.00 bucks but it will last for 4 months plus. I am hooked and it is the only thing I will ever use.Cream eyeshadow and foundation?
    powder is ok for me i perfer liquid
    Liquid runs to much, I have learned that the compact liquid to power works so much better. Clinque has a eye make-up concealer it helps the eye make-up stay all day. I use it an love it.
    i think that you should apply liquid and then powder ,its covers up fully and it looks natural!!this is how i do it and i get compliments all of the time.
    Bare Minerals keeps your eyeshadow on. Also use a eyeshadow cream base to use before eyeshadow. Good Luck
    Personally I prefer powder or cream to powder. Liquid is too much of a mess to me. Also, powder shawdows with some sheen work great on eyes...alot better than cream shadows.
    I find for myself, on the eyelids, after you've applied your eye gel or cream and you've let it sink in, then I lightly pat powder eyeshadow (skin color) as a base for the cream eyeshadow. It works great! I often reapply the skin color eye shadow on top of under eye concealer to set it and it lasts longer. As for foundation, it's your preference depending on your skin type. I tend to be oily so I've switched to the new mineral foundations that are in powder or liquid form. The powder is more matte. But if you want more dewy, moistness to your skin, I go liquid. Each person is unique and it can take a few tries before you find what's right for you. Have fun!
    Well, the whole reason why the cream shadow creases is because the oil on your eye lids cause the makeup to loose its place. If you use a foundation to help it stay in place I suggested a liquid that will absorb the oils on your face, like neutrogena, or that new H2O only foundation from Maybelline. One that doesn't contain much oil in it itself. So stay away from anti-wrinkle or Moisturizing ones. Well, makeup is gonna be a pain one way or another, lol. I hope this helps you out! take care!
    i like MAC's studio fix its powder but it cover's like a liquid
    It depends on your needs because liquid is going tto have less coverage than a powder. Some people use both. Liquid first of course. It also depends on your skin type. For dry skin us the powder with a vitamin e moisturizer first. If you have oily skin use the liquid . Go to see a professional as well and they can advise u better because it is all about what is right for u

    What eyeshadow should I wear with a cream dress?

    I bought a cream, knee length dress for prom but dont know what colour eye shadow I should wear as cream just looks plain...I also have blonde hair and blue eyes... plz replyWhat eyeshadow should I wear with a cream dress?
    You could wear any color combination with the dress because cream falls into the ';neutral'; color category.

    If you want to enhance your hair and eye color, try these shadow colors:

    *Gold

    *Champagne

    *Warm Nude

    *Beige

    *Copper

    *Bronze

    *Warm Taupe

    *Warm Brown

    *Chocolate Brown

    Good luck and have fun!What eyeshadow should I wear with a cream dress?
    You could try a cream shadow. Dont pile it on it will look too matchy matchy. Just a very sheer color. And some mascara-brown mascara would look natural and nice.

    You could go for a gold shadow. Once again a very subtle shadow and use a highlight (you could use the cream shadow that i mentioned above) for your eyebrows %26amp; inner corners(near the tear duct areas)

    If you want to wear eyeliner- Id say brown. But a very thin line and use a cream colored shadow for the lid.

    Reason I say thin- is i get the image of your dress being light %26amp; flowy. ethereal. not like harsh or strong if that makes sense lol
    well a nice ice blue or ice white would be pretty especially with blue eyes

    pink could also go nice aswell but id say blue because you have blue eyes and the cream would fit well with your eyes :D

    heres a great website with lovely blue eyeshadow and lots of other colours too if youo wanna explore %26gt;%26gt; http://www.barrym.com/products/product.a…

    scroll down and u will find x :D

    hope i helped good luck with your prom x
    you could go for a natural, smoky-ish look.

    you go all over your lid with a color that similar to your skin. then use a darker color to define the creases. then add like a brown into the outside corners of your eyes and then blend it all together
    I would definitely go with some gold and brown hues. Like especially since your dress is a lighter color and with the darker tones your eyes will stand out and it'll look dressier. Which is good for an occasion like prom.
    a Rosy pink would looks so good blended with gold and maybe brown eyeliner and dark brown mascara. and you can go timelessly classic with red lipstick
    i have a cream dress and i think that bronze or a tan colour would look perfect
    I would say gold, tan, brown, or white. With gold jewelry.
    golden bronze color

    this compliments all skin tones
    you could wear just about any color with it.

    i would jazz it up with a dark smokey eye (=
    Brown.
    try a gold or bronze shadow
    dark purple or brown and black.
    Browns
    try a light shade of pink or brown
    gold and browns will look nice
    Like some of the other answers I'm going to have to say gold. I bet you'll look gorgeous!

    What eye gel/cream do you use to prep your eyes before applying your primer & eyeshadow?

    Can you recommend good ones which provide good hydration and moisturise the eye area sufficiently?What eye gel/cream do you use to prep your eyes before applying your primer %26amp; eyeshadow?
    I must say that the first thing to do is to wash your face. Some people have oily eyelids and when they put on eyeshadow it makes a disgusting mess. Once your eyelids are dry, put on a powder base that is a white with a hint of yellow. It brings out the contrast in your eyeshadow. It has to be powder base though. powder base makeup drys out oily areas. It helps when you have a zit to, it drys it out. then put your eyeshadow on top of your base. The base brings out the best of your eyeshadows color.What eye gel/cream do you use to prep your eyes before applying your primer %26amp; eyeshadow?
    To be frank I have used dozens of eyecreams and found no dignificant difference between high and low end eye creams. Just go to a drug store and work your way through the cheap ones until you have a favourite.

    Everyone's skin is different, what is good for one is not for another.
    I am not sure if you have any Lumene products around you but there is an eye base that is yellowish and does a great job. It takes away the eye flaws such as dark circles or puffy eyes. The eye shadow looks much better and vibrant with this product as well-

    the smoky eye look is like all about blending. use a decent amount of black liner on the top of ur eye by ur eyelashes and then but a pale-ish/bone color underneath ur eyebrow. then you use the blue shadow and sweep it across the lid. when you have enough shadow, take a blending brush or ur finger and sortof blend the shadow upwards and outwards and then use an angle brush to use the dark blue shadow that you have on ur lid and use it as a liner for underneath ur eye. don't forget to use mascara!How do I get the smokey look using blue eyeshadow? Also, do I really need to buy cream and powder shadow?
    try looseing it up a bit and rub it on your eyes then put your finger on it and design it what ever you want
    http://www.maccosmetics.com/looks/lisama鈥?/a>

    ^for the smokey eye; you can replace some of the colors if you want.

    as for shadow, try MAC veluxe shadows.
    I like the power the best for that look do your darkest color in the crease of bottom on your eye and then the next shade in the middle and then do a white on the very top
    Put on eye liner on then put on your blue eyeshadow. Blend them together to make a smokey look. No, you do not need to buy cream and powder eyeshadow. Try to find a eyeshadow that can be wet or dry, but usually any powder shadow will work. Wet or Dry Shadow is that you can either have the powdery or the cream look. To achieve the cream look, just add water to your shadow.
    What shade of blue? What I do is take black eye liner and apply it to the bottom and top around my eyes. Then I take a shimmery white and lightly apply it under my eye brow. Then I take the blue and apply it dark in the outside corner (like a sideways V ) then I lightly sweep it above the black eye liner. And to top it off I curl my eye lashes and I use a good black mascara. I love this look. And no you don't have to use cream and powder shadow. But I like the creme alot because it doesn't wear easily. You can uss whatever you want. If you want an eye liner and don't have any you can use eye shadow. You just take an eye shadow brush and apply it in a thin liv=ne with that or if you want a darker look apply the brush to a little water before touching the shadow and it will stay better. What is your eye color?

    Can you use an eye concealer cream as an eyeshadow base too?

    I do. I don't think there's much difference between a concealer cream and a base made especially for eyes. Why spend the extra money for a separate base?Can you use an eye concealer cream as an eyeshadow base too?
    I do. I guess I thought everybody did! Because it lightens the eye lids and helps mask darkness. Putting eyeshadow over looks smoother.

    Try M.A.C. Cosmetics, they have great concelaer that you apply with a big fat lamb hair brush. Can you use an eye concealer cream as an eyeshadow base too?
    Yes, of course!

  • What eyeshadow should i wear with a cream and black dress?

    I'm thinking black and gold but i'm not sure whether to do gold on the iner eye and black on the outter OR gold on the lid and black close to the lash line :S help!What eyeshadow should i wear with a cream and black dress?
    try beige,cream or gold eyeshadow (preferably glittery)and then do a strip along the lash line in black . that will look sick!also do black on your lower lid but on the insideWhat eyeshadow should i wear with a cream and black dress?
    since your dress seems to be rather plain in color, it is okay to go a little wilder on the eye shadow. try a purple or green!
    Why not do a few ';test runs'; before the event and see which look you like the best?

    If your dress and the accessories you plan on wearing with the dress are very flashy and attention-getting, I'd stick with a neutral face. If the dress is more modest you could do a more dramatic face.

    Either way, pick one feature and play it up. Natural nudes, browns, tans on eyes and classic red lips always looks sophisticated and you can't go wrong. Or if you're more of an eye makeup person, do dramatic smokey eyes in chocolate, plums and greys, and keep your lips in a nude color or a soft rosy natural color.
    i had the same color dress for one of my school dances, so i went to a professional to get some tips on how to do my make up. use soft colors such as a shimmery white on the lid or a goldish tone. for your eyeliner just use a thin tip black color and DONT use to much, it will draw to much attention to your eyes. use two coats of black mascara and that should do it. for ur lips use a glossy pink. i hope this advice works for u cuz it worked for me!
    how bout a pale purple or silver
    good luck
    Depends on the shape of your eye but generally keeping the darker shades to the outer part of the eye is more flattering to most people. if you put very dark colours inside the eye (especially near the nose) it can look like you're bruised or your eyes are too close together or you can look hung over. Or all three. Not a great look. So unless you want the badgirl been-up-all-night-up-to-no-good- look I would go for the gold on the inner.
    black eye liner and a cream colored eye shadow or white
    I have two ansers for that . you see my best friends always come to me for makeup and then they told me about this so i decided to try to help other people ok lets start .

    first put black eyeliner on youre eyes make sure its very black .

    then lightly touch the eye with a little bit of a oeach eye colour after that take some beige and put it over the peach and voila you have youre new peachy beige colour perfect for youre dress
    I agree with runnergirlterri. I'd go with a plum color to accent the eyes. Don't pick eye shadow to go with your clothes (it's so 80s) but rather your skin tone and to accent your eye color. Plum colors are generally good on any skin tone (though don't go too dark if you're fair-skinned) and make brown eyes and green eyes really POP.
    no no no no!!!!!!!!! put on watever color will match ur skintone or compliments ur eye color. dont draw too much attention to ur eyes
    make your eyes pop a tad. But make shure the dress is the first thing every body sees. make your eye lashes long and flowy. Use deep nuterals on your eyelid to make your eyes look smoky. Then add some lighter tans from your arch to your brow.

    Good luck.
    neutral colors like the browns, golds, creams..... and line your eyes with black eyeliner and make sure to do loads of mascara.

    gold eyeshadow would be good too but really it's preference; it doesnt have to match the colors of your dress!
    i think black eyeliner(liquid on top, pencil on bottom-try lava liner from too faced, its a pencil but goes on looking like liquid-sephora.com) with a skin toned eyeshadow, a little sparkly. bare essentials has great eyeshadow!
    I would wear a creamy matte beige on my eyelid, and put black in the crease and blend, blend, blend, then line with the black as well. If it's a semi-formal or formal event, line all around your eye, even the corner, with the black. Or, just skip the black in the crease and line your eye after applying the creamy beige shadow. beware the gold if you're taking pictures, it'll make you look like a disco ball. If you smoke your eye, go with a gloss. If you just line, a bolder lip is ok.
    You could do the gold on the inner eye and black on the outer or even go with a misty mauve on the inner and a charcoal on the outer... many colors you could use with black and cream.
    common rule is that your eyeshadow should never match your dress exactly... try a brown or earthtone shades since your dress is black and gold
    Gold eyeshadow and black at the corners with brown or black mascara, eyeliner
    black eyeliner and tanned coloured eyeshadow

    black mascara and tanned or beidge coloured eyeshadow

    peachy or a warm yellow would also look nice if your up 4 it :%26gt;
    Do black on the lid, and gold close to the lash line.

    Can you use eyeshadow mousse/cream as lipstick/gloss?

    I bought Dream Mousse eyeshadow by maybelline in heavenly pink and it made my eyes tear up and I got alleriges. So i don't waste it can I use it as lipstick if I also use a lipgloss?Can you use eyeshadow mousse/cream as lipstick/gloss?
    well if u got allergies from using it you probably shouldnt use it again...

    and its pretty gross if you put eyeshadow on your lipsCan you use eyeshadow mousse/cream as lipstick/gloss?
    yea sure why not! I used to do that .If it looks nice... pull it off!
    I used to use eyeliner, so maybe. Try it out.
    Yeah but I imagine it would taste HORRIBLE.
    My sister and I always mix the mousse eyeshadows with lip gloss. Squirt a little clear lip gloss on to your hand, and then add the mousse. Use ur finger to mix them together, and apply it to your lips and voila! It looks really nice too!
    If your allergic to it on your eyes you will be allergic on your lips plus EWWW........ Noooo. never, do you know how bad that would taste.
    Thats not a bad idea. Put it on your lips and top with some gloss. It might work you should try it out.
    I'm pretty sure you can but....you can look at the back/bottom and it will tell you if you can use it anywere besides your eyes.

    Hope I Helped!!

    .~*.*~.!.!.!.!.Happy Holidays.!.!.!.!.~*.*~.
    I don't know about Maybelline... in M.A.C cosmetics you can get gel and use it as anything.
    if your allergic on your eyes, you're probably going to be allergic to it on your lips. plus, i wouldn't do that anyway, kind of gross.
    Why not? Go ahead. I have the eyestuff and it basically looks like lipgloss :P
    NOO! EWW! i dont think so! that is kind of gross...
    you can but i definitely wouldn't
    If it doesn't cause a reaction on your lips, use it.

    But I would highly recommend you use lipstick and gloss for your lips because they're specifically designed for that purpose, as are eye shadows designed for eyelids. Since you've had a reaction to this product already, try using some Blistex or Vaseline to act as a protective layer for your lips, and then apply the mousse eye shadow.
    Well you can, but I would not reccomend it. It would taste really icky if you got any in your mouth.
    It might make your lips chapped...and look dry and yucky,but I guess you can if you really want too. If you think you have allergies to it then I wouldnt try it though.
    yea, why not. mix it w/ some petroleum jelly
    you CAN but, I wouldn't.
    I wouldn't recommend using this on your lips, especially if you had such a negative reaction using the product as the directions advised.

    If you are allergic to the product, you are going to be allergic regardless of wear you apply it.

    If you purchased from a drugstore, you should be able to return the product and receive a full cash refund. I have done this many time with products that I am allergic to or simple don't like the color. And they refund the money with no problem.

    I would advise you seek medical attention so you can find out exactly what you are allergic to.

    Good Luck

    What color eyeshadow for a red and cream colored dress?

    My dress is candy-apple red with cream-colored flowers and a cream sash, and it's a shimmery dress (kinda like satin). I'm wearing gold shoes and a gold headband with it.

    What color eyeshadow/other makeup should I wear? I have dark brown eyes and black hair (I'm Asian), and medium skin tone. Thanks!What color eyeshadow for a red and cream colored dress?
    i would wear a swoosh of black liquid eyeliner (looks great on Asians) and if you must wear eyeshadow go for a dark brown and smudge it above the eyelid. wear a nude lip shade and have a dewy face that glows. i would put on lots of moisturizer.What color eyeshadow for a red and cream colored dress?
    you should were either a gold eyeshadow or cream
    A very sheer egg shell color .... my fave brand is Clinque they have long lasting powder eye shadows.
    if you got...

    pale skin...a light silvery sparkle..light creamy color like silver..blend with a light pink

    fair skin...go a little darker go for a blend of red and silver.(light red..like peachy)

    bronze skin...go into the gold..and blend with a cream

    dark skin...gold gold gold!!

    btw..why blend with a cream? itll make it look lighter and less 'blinding'
    I say apply a light matte shade (beige)on your lid, then sweep the brow bone with a metallic color(bronze) to bring attention to your eyes.

    Don't forget to curl your lashes and alittle black mascara....go easy on the lips maybe gloss. If u use gold it will be too matchy matchy. Have a fun time.
    I think maybe a very subtle bronze. And wear lots of mascara to open up your eyes
    OK...you could go with light gold shimmery eyeshadow it'll go great with your dress, accessories, and skin tone!!!and have fun:)
    a cream color w/ sparkles mabey
    Well I would go for a nuetral color. I have an olive color skin too. I wolud also try to go with a bang and do a creamy red/goldish color. you never know you might really like it....
    Colored eyeshadow is tacky (uless it's an earthy tone) so go with a light gold shimmery eyeshadow that has the same shade as your skin tone--or a little darker. Look really closely at your eye color and see if you can spot any flecks of gold or green, that usually helps people decide.
    i'd do a white color along the lid then brown to highlight the bone and white lineing the brow bone. Not too heavy though. That always looks elegant.
    Stick to gold or bronze tones. Golds w/browns would look pretty for the eyes. A neutral glossy goldish shimmer for the lips would be a nice touch, too. If you play up the eyes, then don't also play up the lips. Pick one or the other and go for it.

    Whatever you do, no pinks! Red + Pink = Disaster. If you're doing gold with red, those are warm colors, so you shouldn't mix them with any cool tones like blues, pinks, greens etc.
    Get red, gold or cream color with sparkles.
    Try a shimmery bronze-it'll go great with your dress, accesories, and skin tone.

    Good luck!
    red, white, grey
    I'd say a gold shimmer for like the main color with a creme color under your eyebrows.
    TRY THE MAC EYE SHADOW SHADE CALLED RICE PAPER. ITS A PRETTY SHIMMERY LIGHT GOLD.
    gold with a red tint

    gold to bring out the gold pices

    and red to complament the dress

    Where exactly do you apply 'cream eyeshadow'? actually on the eye socket or just along the crease of the eye?

    Before you do ANYTHING, I would suggest that you:

    1. moisturize your face with a lotion. I use Kinerase SPF 30, but Neutrogena works well too. Be very careful around the orbital eye are. People always rub, and it disrupts this sensitive eye area; light dab with your fingertips instead. Kiehl's makes a great under eye avocado moisturizer that I SWEAR by.

    2. After moisturizing, apply PRIMER. Laura Mercier makes a good primer but you can also try Revlon's clear primer. It's like spackle for your face. It evens out all the bumps and crevices BEFORE you put on your makeup.

    3. Then apply a concealer that is 1 shade lighter than your skin tone to this area as shadows tend to make the area look darker than what it it.

    4. Finally apply your shadow from the socket, along the crease, dabbing, and blending so that it looks even and not too makeup-y.

    There! You're gorgeous dahling!

    www.lavishmag.blogspot.comWhere exactly do you apply 'cream eyeshadow'? actually on the eye socket or just along the crease of the eye?
    you can do both, theres so much you can do with it, just like any other eyeshaow, if you only color up to the crease and use other colors too then chances are it will just give your lid a highlight of the color thats already on there, if you but it on the entire eye socket you can use it as a base for other colors or basically its the same thing as a shade, even though its a cream eyeshadow you should treat it just like any other eyeshadow because basically it is, just made of a different material, i wouldnt recommend as a highlight for your brow because some creme eyeshadows look really caky in a certain light, oily, if you notice that the material is pigmented(very well colored) just right and fine as in smooth, then you should be fine as a highlight but try it and see if you like it and if not just use lotion to wipe it off with a cotton ball or cotton swab that way you wont mess up the makeup you already have on if you put on the highlight on lastWhere exactly do you apply 'cream eyeshadow'? actually on the eye socket or just along the crease of the eye?
    It looks really good on the eye socket. And then some darker powder on the crease. This gives your eye a really pretty and upbeat look. (:
    totally the eye socket. If you put it in the crease, it will get clumpy and look really tacky and sloppy.
    either or but mostly on the eye socket put a highlighter on the crease
    eye socket
    both! just wear a great base under and it will look fabulous

    Wet your eyeshadow brush and dip it into your regular eyeshadow to get a more dense eyeshadow, or wet a liner brush and use your eyeshadow to get a liquid liner. You can also buy mixing medium (MAC makes a good one) and eyeshadow pigment to mix and make your own cream eyeshadow and liquid eyeliner. Water works well-I do it everyday!

    Is it possible to make cream blush out of eyeshadow?

    weird question;

    help please!Is it possible to make cream blush out of eyeshadow?
    why yes, it is

    mark kIs it possible to make cream blush out of eyeshadow?
    I do it all the time! I use whatever face lotion I have and then shake on some powder eyeshadow, mix a little between your fingers and then blend onto the cheeks where you want the color.

    I use the powdered eyeshadow, the kind I have comes in a little bottle and I just tap some out. You could use regular eyeshadow (as opposed to powdered), just crush it up good so you get even color.

    There are probably some experts out there who say you shouldn't put eyeshadow on your face, but the way I figure is that your eyelid skin is the thinnest and probably most sensitive skin on your face, so if it's gentle enough for that it should be okay on your cheeks. Just wash good (and gently) before bed.
    yes you can.. you'll need a base.. and shadow.. crush the shadow up.. mix vaseline or paraphin with it.. until you have the thickness you want.. you have to be very careful with vaseline.. it's really greasy.. i use black shadow and vaseline when i run out of liner.. you can make just about anything with it..
    That actually sounds cool. You could get a shade of eyeshadow that's close to your favorite shade of blush, and I guess you could mix it with a bit of Vaseline until it's thick. Start with a cheap brand of eyeshadow in case it doesn't really work. =)
    pour some pink eyeshadow onto a table/paper, make sure its nice and spread out because you don't want it to be too concentrated. take a blush brush and wet it, then dab it onto the powder on the table/paper, then apply.

    Try using eye makeup remover,if this gently removes make up from our eyes it should work on removing from your carpet. It also depends what the carpet is made from, plain soap should remove stain from a wool carpet however if the carpet has nylon fibre it is very difficult to remove any stain as the eyeshadow colour will have dyed the carpet fibre and only bleaching would remove the colour. you can get a gentle bleach that you can use on stains it only removes the stain will not damage the carpet, ive used this and it is good, sorry i cant remember what you call it.

    Which color of this cream eyeshadow should I get?

    I want to get a natural one, for school. So one of the pinks or tans. Which one do you think?

    http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?鈥?/a>Which color of this cream eyeshadow should I get?
    I'd say Rehab, or Suburbia.

    In makeup you generally want a warming effect, and a warm taupe is the best for that. Gold also does wonders for many types of complexions. I'd say go for Rehab if you don't have so many gold tones in your eyes/skin/hair, and also don't wear much jewelry. If you have gold tones in your eyes/skin/hair, go for Suburbia.

    ~~~Which color of this cream eyeshadow should I get?
    I'd go with either:
    -Suburbia
    -Whipped
    -Midnight Rodeo
    I've tried all of these on at Sephora and they're natural and add pretty shimmer to your eyes (:
    answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
    I like the tans better that way you can mix it with other colors easier,
    And it still looks more natural, than pink
    Iloveurbandecay :)
    They are all iridescent so they won't be completely natural, but Midnight Rodeo and Rehab should be light enough to look neutral and not heavy.
    Does anone have any tips on how to prevent cream eyeshadow from caking up??
    I have a few cream eyeshadows, and the colors are awesome. The problem is, every time I try to use them- they cake up and look horrible!!!! I just want to wear them and not be worried I look like I did my makeup in the dark. Please someone clue me in on what to do!!!! Thank you.Does anone have any tips on how to prevent cream eyeshadow from caking up??
    apply some kind of powder underneath, like a face powder, even a neutral powder eyeshadow. In desperation I have even used baby powder.
    The creasing is caused by the oils in your skin mixing with the oils in the shadow. The powder absorbs the oils in your skin.Does anone have any tips on how to prevent cream eyeshadow from caking up??
    You should mosturize the lid before using the eyeshadow. You should really stick to powder eyeshadows. They can be just as dramatic if used correctly and they last all day! Good Luck!
    Take a bit of face powder first and prime the area by dusting your eyelids with the powder. This will prevent caking and will give the shadow a smooth appearance.
    use an eyelid primer or a base for shadow
    Hi...Before you put the shadow on ....brush on some translucent powder (the brush should be one of those big round ones) then very lightly tap on some more when shadow is on...........in other words...before and after
    Whenever I use them I use eyelid primer first. I find that less is more with cream shadows and it's best to find a shade that's almost the same color as the cream to top it off. For example when I use a rose colored cream I will top it off with a tiny dusting of rose colored powder shadow.
    eyeshadow primer or powder.
    Try putting face lotion on your eyelids prior to applying makeup.
    http://www.ellegirl.nl/2006/08/EG9Premie鈥?/a>
    or try white and use it as a highlighter like aishwarya rai here:
    http://www.poster.net/rai-aishwarya/rai-鈥?/a>What colour of cream eyeshadow should i put on with a white dress?
    i say none. jus b natural that luks more beautiful than using any cream.
    depends on what color your eyes are. if they're a darker color, put a shimmery white/ivory on the inside corner of your eyes and fade it halfway to the middle of your eyelid [and by the way, do this only on the lower crease of your eyelid] then take a darker color, black is nice or dark blue or brown or whatever sets your eyes off and rub that on the outside corner of your eyes and fade it into the middle and smudge it with the lighter color. it will create a really cool effect on your eyes. for lighter eyes, do the same things lighter with whatever enhances your eyes. below your eyebrows and stuff, just brush a really light, natural cover to smooth out your skin and stuff. hope it works!!
    Ivory
    I'd wear something that's complimentary to your eye color. For example, if you have brown eyes, wear a shade of blue that you like on the lid, and blend it toward the brow with a nice neutral natural color. (Blue sets off brown eyes beautifully!)
    if you are wearing sliver, pearl, white beads jewelry go with a silvery pale pastel color. if you wearing it with black, gold or red go with natural tones.
    I'll put maybe a light blue or pink...but something really light!
    white
    you should use a very soft, pale pink for the full lid then using white make a thin line (width of eyeshadow brush) just below the eyebrow. be sure to apply creating an arch. More arch means more sexy most often.
    then using a darker color but not too much on the lower lid nearest your lashes, again you want to make a small line (not the whole lid and not a perfect straight line if that makes sense) and in the outer crease adding depth. If you have brown eyes a blue or green and if you have blue or green eyes try a shade brown
    pastel colours or natural are probably the best......hope I help!
    pink, beige, steel grey/silver( with a hint of black on the corners of the eye) ...anything shimmery but dont overdo it
    ~Nothing too light, nothing too dark.~
    Be natural!
    Can you combine cream and powder eyeshadow?
    Can you wear cream eyeshadow with powder, or would it just goop up?
    How would you wear it?Can you combine cream and powder eyeshadow?
    Ya apply cream first and let it try for a couple of minutes and then apply the powder right over it. Make sure they are the same color or close to it. This will keep your eye makeup on all day.
  • What is difference between powder and cream eyeshadow? Can I use same shadow brush for both, or use different?
    Cream eyeshadows traditionally don't last as long and can slip or build up in the crease (especially in warm weather or if you go to a club or something), but some of the newer formulations are excellent.
    I wear cream and sometimes use a little foundation underneath to create a base. For oily skin, I'd say powder is best, but, for drier skin, cream is good as you don't need to rub it in as much, so you don't pull at the eye area's fragile skin.
    Rimmel makes some cream eyeshadows that dry on (and are very enduring), but you have to be careful with the intial application as, once it sets, it's impossible to blend further. Guerlain's cream eyeshadows are also excellent and a little more pliable. Theirs last well and have rich colour.
    I use clean fingers myself as I find a lot of brushes tug at the skin and my fingers are better at blending. It comes down to preference. But probably sponge is best for cream over a brush, anyway.What is difference between powder and cream eyeshadow? Can I use same shadow brush for both, or use different?
    Well, the difference is pretty obvious, seeing as one is a cream and one is a powder...? Anyway, it would not make a difference if you used the same brush for the two different eye shadows.What is difference between powder and cream eyeshadow? Can I use same shadow brush for both, or use different?
    you mite wana use ur finger for the cream. the cream is longer lasting but messier and the powder last the least but is easy to apply
    Can i use a cream eyeshadow as a base?
    title says it all.
    if yes
    witch ones do you recommend from a drugstore?Can i use a cream eyeshadow as a base?
    Most definitely you can. I recommend revlons cream shadow quads. Dont use to much though becuase it can make your eyeshadow crease.Can i use a cream eyeshadow as a base?
    i dont thnk so becuase one reason you use a base is so your eyeshadow wont crease and i believe a cream eyeshadow will majorally make it crease. i use marykate and ashley shade stick as a base. its cheap and i think it works great. i just bought a neutral shade so i can use any color eyeshadow over it!
    I think that you can.
    just use a color that matches your skin tone.
    and the MAX factor high pigmentation cream eyeshadow works really nice and not too expensive:D
    Yes, if you use a pale or neutral colour you can use it as a base.
    Is it a good idea to use cream and powder eyeshadow at the same time?
    I have 2 colours that will go really well togerth. Problem is one is a glittery powder (Barry M) and the other is a cream eyeshadow. Does anyone know if this will produce weird looking eye or will they mix during the night?Is it a good idea to use cream and powder eyeshadow at the same time?
    It would look nice at 1st but after a while ... the cream eyeshadow will clump, it would not look very nice and clean... and it may look a little trampy after a while...
    ..Is it a good idea to use cream and powder eyeshadow at the same time?
    Thanks :) Report Abuse
    NO
    Use either one or the other
    Not both
    I don't see anything wrong with it. I mean the cream will definitely stay longer, but if you put the powder on top of the cream, then you should be good. It will probably just make the color of the powder eyeshadow stay longer.
    : )
    Don't do it babe! Never a fan of cream eye shadow... Difficult to apply and tends to clump! Go for powder every time!
    I think that the cream eyeshadow might begin to clump in the creases of your eyelid, and then maybe the powder eyeshadow would stick to it, creating an odd effect. However, I am not sure, so what I would do is try them on during the day one day when your just sitting around the house and see how it goes. If it looks good and stays that way all day, then you'll know its fine!
    Which is better cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow? Why?
    I am looking for a new back to school look. I never tried cream eyeshadow before. I don't even like powder eyeshadow. It comes off all messy on my eyes and flaky like( for the lack of a better term). I use make-up like maybelline and covergirl to experiment and I do a terrible job at make-up.
    So anyway which is better and why?Which is better cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow? Why?
    Powder is better than cream but what you could try is applying a primer before using the powder eye-shadow. Cream eye-shadow can sometimes look oily which is something you don't want.Which is better cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow? Why?
    to tell you hun, it depends on the quality of the powder eyeshadow and if youre wearing an eyeshadow primer to make your eyeshadow stay long for the whole day.
    i would DEFINETLY recommend Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion. everybody loves this eyeshadow primer. an alternative would be MAC Paint Pots or Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance.
    with an eyeshadow primer, not only does your eye makeup's staying power stay the whole day -- it also makes your eyeshadow blendable and the colour pigment of the eyeshadow is more brought out (vibrant)
    youre gonna hate my answer;
    in my opinion, i prefer powder eyeshadow over cream eyeshadow. because powder eyeshadow is so blendable.
    i would also recommend using an eyeshading brush. MAC sells the best makeup brushes. the brushes are a really good investment.
    and your problem also has a thing to do with the way you apply your makeup (makeup techniques, etc.). with practice and experience, you will learn to do your makeup so it looks good.
    YouTube tutorials are a good way to start. :)
    I like both, but powder is easier to work with if you know how to apply it. First of all, you should use a brush not the sponge applicators that come with shadows. After you put some shadow on the brush, tap the brush to remove the loose shadow. It would help to use an eyeshadow primer underneath, because it helps it stick and it will stay in place all day. If you use a cream shadow as a base, it will work like a primer. Once you learn how to apply it, if possible, buy better shadows like MAC. They last longer because the colors are richer, they have more pigment so a little bit goes a long way.
    Use cream eyeshadow as a base for powder eyeshadow. A very small amount blended in well in the same color as the powder eyeshadow you are wearing will help make the color more vibrant and the staying power longer.
    Before you use any eyeshadow use an eye primer such as urban decay primer potion or two faced shadow insurance.
    I have used eyeshadow for years and have never found a cream eyeshadow I like wearing unless it is for a base.
    okay i was watching a show where they make people over so they look younger and the make up artist was saying about powder make up and that they are good thought the powder may sprinkle on ur face then mess up ur foundation unless u dust a light powder on ur face so if comes of with out removing ur foundation, also that cream is more textured and gives a sheen or glow though if u dont have cream eyeshadow lip stick works too..... but i use powered cause its cheaper but i tried the lip stick it works but make sure it inst long ware or its hard to take off but cream is really easy to use and if u apply just a thin layer if is so light so don't over do creams but creams are more money but they are easily removed but they ware off and they kinda when u blink go up in ur creases of ur eyelid
    If you know how to properly use powder, I would say it is beter becuase you can layer it and create depth with just one color/it stays on your eyes longer when applied corectly.
    Cream eye shadow I think of more al little girls toy %26amp;dosnt realy work that great if your trying to look good/adult like %26amp;you cant realy get much more than the color in the tube.
    since powder eyeshadow seems messy to you, try pressed powders. they're easier to mange that way.
    if the eyeshadow is flakey, use urban decay eyeshadow primer. this will prevent the eyeshadow from being flakey and will stay on longer.
    if you have done these things and still dislike it, try cream eyeshadow.
    cream eyeshadow has a nice texture and is not flakey and will stay on your skin. but it will not look good if you apply it after the eyeliner.
    it can be hard to apply if you're not used to cream eyeshadow. it's pretty hard when all they give you is a blunt edge to apply it on. so really, pressed eyeshadow is your best bet.
    powder definitly lacks the same color effect. but sometimes if you are using pretty cheap creme eyeshadow it can bunch at the creases of your eyelids. how about trying a creme with powder over.? you'll get the same color depth withouth the creasing.
    I like cream better. Powder looks more... well, powdery.
    Cream goes on nice and smooth, and usually has more of a shimmer to it. It is also easier to work with, and isn't as messy. Powder is too pigmented, and application is harder for me.
    I prefer powder.
    If you add a primer, or a concealer base to it it'll
    be more vivid and it won't crease or go away, nor would it look
    all powdery or flaky.
    Cream eyeshadow is oily, if it spreads it could cause acne.
    If you want the eyeshadow to last you put a small amount of water on your brush, and then put it on your eyelids. The cream works for a short time, but it normally all ends up in the creases.
    i like cream more. i don't wear eyeshadow often but i do love bobbi brown cream eyeshadows! they stay on forever..i think the powder ones are harder to apply, well at least for me. hope this helped!
    What's the best:cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow?
    I like Bobbi Brown's cream eyeshadow,
    they give you a lot of color choices,
    its very smooth and goes on very easily.
    The color doesn't fade either.
    For a powder eyeshadow,
    my favorite brand is bare minerals.
    Again, Many color choices,
    and they have all categories from plain-shimmer-glitter.What's the best:cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow?
    The best cream eyeshadow would have to be from Benefit or Shiseido. They both have a little bit of sheen to them, but they are really pretty when you put on. Plus they don't crease! I have asian eyes too, and eye makeup that creases is a huge problem. As for powder eyeshadow, the best will definitely have to be Lorac. Their eyeshadows are very blendable and rich in color.What's the best:cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow?
    Powder more colors, easy to blend and easy to find and use.
    i like the powder
    cream is so messy for me
    i prefer powder but crem is fine too...
    Is there a good cream eyeshadow that is inexpensive??
    that doesnt crease ,
    in nude shades,
    long lastingIs there a good cream eyeshadow that is inexpensive??
    You have to be very careful! 9 times out of ten it doesn't matter how much money you spend on cream eyeshadow it will always crease. 'Cause of the fact that our eyelids produce oil and the oil and eyeshadow will mix and the eyeshadow will cease. If you really want something long-lasting your best bet is powder shadows. Or better yet, try putting on loose powder on your eyelids and then put the cream shadow on and see if it helps. I hope I helped!Is there a good cream eyeshadow that is inexpensive??
    I use maybelline new york dream mousse shadow. It doesn't crease for me and it stays on all day and they also have nude colors. It isn't very expensive. You can get it at many popular stores. If you use it i hope you like it too.
    nyc has some good ones
    on line e.l.f. most products are 1 buck including some of the better makeup brushes I've come across, if you don't mind spending a bit(alot) more merle norman is great, you can web search them and find alot for sale on eBay, but they are an franchise located in most malls in the U.S.
    revlon has a set of four, and yes, they are creme shadows. I find them to be pretty good quality.
    They come in many different shades.
    revlon makes a cream shadow, four per pack, comes in nude colors like skinlights, seashells, and stuff like that
    maybelline mousse eye shadows
    I wear Clinique makeup. It is the best stuff out there. They aren't very expensive and they meet all of your expectations.
    maybelline dream mousse shawdows they work great for that.
    and i agree with e.l.f comment about the brushes. i bought sonia kushik brushes that were $8 and up and they have the same quality as most of the expensive brushes i've purchased before.
    What is the purpose of eyeshadow cream?
    i tried it and i dont see ya difference is there a right way to do it or a wrong way some one help me.What is the purpose of eyeshadow cream?
    I prefer dust shadow, it lasts more (at least on me).What is the purpose of eyeshadow cream?
    The biggest difference is that not only does it stay on longer, but it wont move around. Some times when you have a powder eye shaddow, it will cake up in the crease in your eye, but it never does that after the cream is dried.
    There is no purpose of eyeshadow cream. It was made so you will think that it will do something to your makeup, that will add to your beautiful face, which will add to your great personality. When all you really need is a great personality, and natural beauty. Makeup adds to the outer layers but what really matters are the inner.
    IT DOESN'T COME OFF AS EASILY AS POWERED DOES, AND IT IS EASIER TO PUT ON IN A HURRY.
    the colour turns out much more vibrant, plus it stays on much longer.
    well cream will last longer on normal to oily , very oily skin....
    shadows will last regular only on normal to dry skin tones...
    it is a difference when timing is important...if need shadow to stay on...wear a cream base...but only if you know your shadow doesn't stay...
    wear a color primer if you are oily...it will make shadow and cream stay and look vibrant...
    BeautiControl ';Shadow Control Creme';...prepares eyelids so shadow glides on, blends evenly, and resists fading and creasing...try it...won't hurt!!!
    well the texture is moer cremay and preferreed sinc eu dont need a brush do apply it, it tend to crease more but last longer and is not to be weared during summer hot days butgreat in winter, can give a matte or even dewy effect, the colos are usually never bold usually sheer. powder ted to crease to , last long but some can no last long, preferred in summer since the texture is powder and usally are more pigmented then crams.
    Can I use cream, sparkled eyeshadow as a facial highlighter? If so how?
    I dont have any cream highlighter so im thinking of using this like sparkly, pale cream colored eyeshadow i've got. Is that possible? And also, how do i apply highlighter, does it go under my foundation?Can I use cream, sparkled eyeshadow as a facial highlighter? If so how?
    you dont really want 'sparkles' as in glitter on your face unless your about 12.
    But depending waht your eyeshadow is like...you should mix it in with a bit of moisturiser then rub into your skin. Then apply foundation over the top.
    See what it looks like, it might look really good.
    If it looks like you have glittery sparkles on your face perhaps give it a miss and buy a proper highlighter instead.
    Which one is better-liquid/cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow?
    Which one is better and why?Which one is better-liquid/cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow?
    Liquid / cream is a good base because they are sheer , silky and crease easily . So to add on top a powder eyeshadow that is pigmented and creases unless they have a base then they are less likely to crease. Or using a transformer ( a spritz liquid that varies by product ) will make a loose or pressed eyeshadow powder really vibrant and pigmented .Which one is better-liquid/cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow?
    Liquid/Cream eyeshadow is better because it's easier and cleaner to apply and it doesn't sprinkle specks of eyeshadow powder like powder eyeshadow does.
    powder eyeshadow bcos it last longer
    I just don;t know.
    How can I fix a dried out cream eyeshadow, I left the lid off and it dried up a bit . Help?
    Try heating it up a bit. Most of these creams have a bit of wax in them. I wouldn't recommend adding any moisturizer or petroleum jelly to it if it is a long wearing cream because if you do, the product will smear. If that doesn't work, take it to the cosmetics store that you deal with and maybe they can find a close comparison you can live with. You could also try finding what you need on Ebay, but beware, alot of that makeup on there is used, so ask before you bid!     I'm looking for something golden and shimmery which will be gorgeous with my dark skin. Which shade should I get?
    Thank you xWhat Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow should I get?
    I'm not sure ecactly how dark you are, but I'd start with Beach Bronze, and if that doesn't work for you, just sit at the counter and try them all out. That's what the ladies who work there are for. And if they don't have something that works for your skin, don't feel obligated to buy. Nars also has cream eyeshadows, and I have a couple of friends who are darker complected Indians and they wear Nars cream shadow in Savage. It's gorgeous. Just a suggestion. Good luck.
    x-x-xHow do I apply cream eyeshadow?
    You are supposed to use a stiff yet soft brush to apply cream eye shadow as who really want finger bacteria near their eyes? Be sure to use a primer and translucent powder to set the cream otherwise it will crease halfway through your day. I would say you can skip the liner, but don't skip the mascara as shadow and mascara have different purposes and without mascara the look would be a little incomplete.
    Answer mine ?
    http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind鈥?/a>
    i just use my fingertip with cream eyeshadow. but don't use as much as you would with the powder kind, because it goes on thicker and stronger.
    I would also say to use a brush it goes on very nicely i would use the mascara with it but in moderation!
    i love using cream eyeshadow.
    powder is messy, and sometimes it falls on your skin.
    i always just use my fingers when applying cream eyeshadow, so i can put it where i want it.
    you can skip the liner, but eyeshadow and mascara pretty much go together. (:
    You can use a brush but the only problem with this is that the cream eyeshadow will more than likely crease as you will put too much on and not work it into your eyelid enough.
    I like to use my fingers for applying cream shandows. This way you can really work the eyshadow into the eyelids and blend it in pretty good which will make creasing less likely.
    Do you prefer powder eyeshadow or cream eyeshadow?
    I have been using powder eye shadow, but have been thinking to use Revlon's cream shadow that come in 4 different shades per container. What do you think?Do you prefer powder eyeshadow or cream eyeshadow?
    I use eyeshadow moosse it gives a much bolder colour, glides on, and stays put throughout the day so it gives the eyes a bolder definition (:Do you prefer powder eyeshadow or cream eyeshadow?
    I think that cream shadow is better for a base and then if you want you can put powder shadow over it! but sometimes the cream shadows are better!
    I think there both good but I prefer powder, but you should try one cream shadow and you be the judge of which one you like better.
    Powder.
    i have bolth but i like powder
    I prefer cream because it is easier to blend but you absolutely must use a primer before or it will crease. I suggest Urban Decay Primer Potion. And those Revlon cream shadows are great by the way.
    Powder, it looks more natural.
    Powder
    Powder, it's less messy
    It depends on the look ur after. More dramatic eyes look better when using a shade stick and eye dazzle powder. There is a girl on youtube who does make up tips and she's brilliant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6QH4AKhO鈥?/a>
    I'm looking for any tips on applying cream eyeshadow?
    I've lots of experience with powder - but very little with cream, and would like to get any tips out there on the ebst way to apply it, whether you should put it on before applying face powder to your eyes or after, and anything else that you can think of!I'm looking for any tips on applying cream eyeshadow?
    When applying cream eyeshadow..I like to use a sponge tip brush, like the one that comes with eye shadows.But first you need to get a paper towel or tissue and fold it in half and put it under your eye like on your cheek so you don't get the eyeshadow everywhere Sponge tip applicators are good for applying the color to your eyes and it soaks up enough to apply it on. .....then get yourself a professional synthetic eyeshadow brush to evenly smooth it over your lids. Carefully brush off access powder with a loose power that you can go over your face and your done. Flawless!!!!I'm looking for any tips on applying cream eyeshadow?
    Thank you so much for that - cream eyeshadow is a new area for me (after using powder eyeshadow for over 20 years!) Report Abuse
    Don't get any in your eye!
    Well.. first you should just leave your face emty than uyou should put some cream on your hand.. and than apply it on your fsce and rub it nicly
  • Is mascara, pinkish cream eyeshadow, and lipgloss too much makeup for a 13 year old?
    Yes I know, this question has probably been asked a thousand times, but... lol
    Sometimes I wear makeup and all I wear is a little bit of mascara, lipgloss, and sometimes cream eyeshadow %26lt;-- I 鈾?that stuff, lol. It's a pinkish-nuetral color.
    Oh and sometimes on rare ocassions blush.
    Is this too much?
    thanks.
    And yes I KNOW this is a generic question, so no need to post that.Is mascara, pinkish cream eyeshadow, and lipgloss too much makeup for a 13 year old?
    its not really a lot but revaulate why it is that you are wearing make up i mean your 13 your still a baby ( i know you probably hate that) i am not that much older than you and im 18. Ive been through being 13 and wanting to be older but its not worth it i wish i would of acted 13 when i was 13. Don't grow up so quickIs mascara, pinkish cream eyeshadow, and lipgloss too much makeup for a 13 year old?
    That sounds fine to me, but don't over-do the mascara. I recommend top lashes only. Also, since your skin is still so young and beautiful, you definitely don't need blush. If you really want to you can put it on, but keep it very light since teens still have a natural glow/blush to their faces. As you experiment more with make-up as you get older, you'll know what feels right for you.
    Good Luck!
    Considering that you're still little, that sounds like a reasonable amount.
    dont wear blush since your skin is still young and beautiful and maybe try regular eyeshadow instead of cream because cream tends to crease.
    aww thats totaly normal i kno 12 yaer olds who wear 10x mor
    litl help plz?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
    im 12 and wear the same amount. i wear mineral foundation powder stuff and maybe cover up tho.
    nahh. its fine...im 13 aND i wear make up like that 2
    no i see that as reasonable
    Yeah, that sounds like a good amount.
    What should I use to apply a cream eyeshadow?
    I got a new eyeshadow, and it's a cream/liquid kind. But it didn't come with a little applicator or anything, you just squeeze it out of the bottle. I was just wondering what I should use to apply it? I don't really want to use my finger, that seems too messy... What would work best? Thank you :-]What should I use to apply a cream eyeshadow?
    an eyeshadow brush.What should I use to apply a cream eyeshadow?
    Your finger really is the best thing to use to apply it. It's not that messy and it blends it really good. I know bc I have one.
    You could always use a Q-tip.
    Finger, Q-tip, Cosmetic Sponge, Eyeshadow Brush
    squeeze it onto the back of your hand then use an eyeshadow brush like a paintbrush to pick up the eyeshadow and apply it to your eyes!
    your finger. seriously it works.
    Your finger will work fine, but if not, try and find an eyeshadow brush with stiffer bristles. It will be easier to wash.
    Ok
    Tip #1 Don't put a lot on the crease. It will get VERY Messy and look VERY bad
    How do you apply cream eyeshadow?
    i mean its gooey and sometimes its in like a regular thing so but you can't use a brush and using your finger dosn't really work? Are you sopost to use water or what?How do you apply cream eyeshadow?
    you can use a brush as long as it's for cream shadows.
    here's is my favorite one (they may be a bit pricey but are well worth it!):
    http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2906076?refs鈥?/a>
    the reason they work so well for cream shadows is because the bristles a short and relatively stiff. just dip it in the container and smooth it over your lids.
    if you still don't like the way it looks, maybe try a different shade. not all makeup works for everyone.
    also try an eye primer before applying. here is my personal favorite that i use with all shadows:
    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>How do you apply cream eyeshadow?
    I usually use my finger, I find that works best! Just make sure you use a light coloured powder eyeshadow all over your eyeled before the cream, so then it wont crease!
    Use a concealer brush!!!!
    No use your pinky finger a little bit at a time let dry and then top with a dry shadow in the same color just go ez on all steps and it will last all day :-)
    I find that regular bristle brushes don't work very well. If you go to a drugstore, or walmart, you can usually find little sponge tipped applicators, they usually come in packages of ten. Becuase of the material, it makes it easier to apply the shadows.
    Other than that, finger tips usually work.
    You should use your finger or a q-tip :)
    Can anyone recommend a good cream eyeshadow?
    I want an inexpensive shadow that is nude in color with just a hint of gold shimmer. Also, I would like it to last a while, doesn't have to be 24 hours, but at least a good 8.Can anyone recommend a good cream eyeshadow?
    Urban Decay Primer Potion is the best primer by far. My record is having bright blue eyeshadow on for 15 hours without having to touch it up. A good cream eyeshadow would be Bloom. Then have them in pots as well as in tubes. Some other brands that carry cream eyeshadow (and I'm talking good quality brands, not the ones at Walgreen's that will destroy the skin on your lids), Nars, Dior, Urban Decay and Guerlain. As far as the cheap brands, I'm really not sure what to tell you. I don't look at those brands because of the chemicals and fillers that will make my lids itch and feel gross. I prefer a quality product that will last me ten times as long and be ten times as effective. If you want quality in a brand, you may need to bit the bullet and go with something that is made to work. Good luck!
    To answer your question, yes it really can make your skin bad. The added fillers (instead of pure pigments and natural ingredients) will encourage premature aging, will interfere your skins natural healing and will soak into your eyes themselves (especially if you aren't using a primer) and do the same kind of damage to your eyeballs. Also, since these are mostly fillers instead of pigments and binding agents, they will fall off your lids or be very prone to creasing at the lid. I work as a makeup artist, and while people don't want to believe that the pricier brands are better in all areas, it is true. I used to use the cheap brands before I switched, and I'm spending the same amount of money in the long run (more money up front, but they don't go bad, last forever and don't loose their pigments) and having much better skin for it. If you have any specific question you can email me. It's not like I encourage spending tons of money, but you can get good quality products that you would be able to afford. If you have questions, feel free.Can anyone recommend a good cream eyeshadow?
    A good cream eyeshadow is NARS's Cream Eyeshadow. I think what Duchess of Grapes means when she says, ';...not the [eyeshadows] at Walgreen's that will destroy the skin on your lids...'; is that there are a lot of low quality eyeshadows that can destroy the skin on your eyelids. Some low quality eyeshadows can really destroy the skin on your eyelids.
    If you want your eyeshadows to last ,you need to use an eyeshadow primer. Urban Decay Potion Primer and Too Faced Eye Insurance, are popular.
    check out Mary Kay.
