What eyeshadow should i wear with a cream and black dress?

I'm thinking black and gold but i'm not sure whether to do gold on the iner eye and black on the outter OR gold on the lid and black close to the lash line :S help! What eyeshadow should i wear with a cream and black dress?
try beige, cream or gold eyeshadow (preferably glittery)and then do a strip along the lash line in black . that will look sick!also do black on your lower lid but on the insideWhat eyeshadow should i wear with a cream and black dress?
since your dress seems to be rather plain in color, it is okay to go a little wilder on the eye shadow. try a purple or green!
Why not do a few ';test runs'; before the event and see which look you like the best?

If your dress and the accessories you plan on wearing with the dress are very flashy and attention-getting, I'd stick with a neutral face. If the dress is more modest you could do a more dramatic face.

Either way, pick one feature and play it up. Natural nudes, browns, tans on eyes and classic red lips always looks sophisticated and you can't go wrong. Or if you're more of an eye makeup person, do dramatic smokey eyes in chocolate, plums and greys, and keep your lips in a nude color or a soft rosy natural color.
i had the same color dress for one of my school dances, so i went to a professional to get some tips on how to do my make up. use soft colors such as a shimmery white on the lid or a goldish tone. for your eyeliner just use a thin tip black color and DONT use to much, it will draw to much attention to your eyes. use two coats of black mascara and that should do it. for ur lips use a glossy pink. i hope this advice works for u cuz it worked for me!
how bout a pale purple or silver
good luck
Depends on the shape of your eye but generally keeping the darker shades to the outer part of the eye is more flattering to most people. if you put very dark colours inside the eye (especially near the nose) it can look like you're bruised or your eyes are too close together or you can look hung over. Or all three. Not a great look. So unless you want the badgirl been-up-all-night-up-to-no-good- look I would go for the gold on the inner.
black eye liner and a cream colored eye shadow or white
I have two ansers for that . you see my best friends always come to me for makeup and then they told me about this so i decided to try to help other people ok lets start .

first put black eyeliner on youre eyes make sure its very black .

then lightly touch the eye with a little bit of a oeach eye colour after that take some beige and put it over the peach and voila you have youre new peachy beige colour perfect for youre dress
I agree with runnergirlterri. I'd go with a plum color to accent the eyes. Don't pick eye shadow to go with your clothes (it's so 80s) but rather your skin tone and to accent your eye color. Plum colors are generally good on any skin tone (though don't go too dark if you're fair-skinned) and make brown eyes and green eyes really POP.
no no no no!!!!!!!!! put on watever color will match ur skintone or compliments ur eye color. dont draw too much attention to ur eyes
make your eyes pop a tad. But make shure the dress is the first thing every body sees. make your eye lashes long and flowy. Use deep nuterals on your eyelid to make your eyes look smoky. Then add some lighter tans from your arch to your brow.

Good luck.
neutral colors like the browns, golds, creams..... and line your eyes with black eyeliner and make sure to do loads of mascara.

gold eyeshadow would be good too but really it's preference; it doesnt have to match the colors of your dress!
i think black eyeliner(liquid on top, pencil on bottom-try lava liner from too faced, its a pencil but goes on looking like liquid-sephora.com) with a skin toned eyeshadow, a little sparkly. bare essentials has great eyeshadow!
I would wear a creamy matte beige on my eyelid, and put black in the crease and blend, blend, blend, then line with the black as well. If it's a semi-formal or formal event, line all around your eye, even the corner, with the black. Or, just skip the black in the crease and line your eye after applying the creamy beige shadow. beware the gold if you're taking pictures, it'll make you look like a disco ball. If you smoke your eye, go with a gloss. If you just line, a bolder lip is ok.
You could do the gold on the inner eye and black on the outer or even go with a misty mauve on the inner and a charcoal on the outer... many colors you could use with black and cream.
common rule is that your eyeshadow should never match your dress exactly... try a brown or earthtone shades since your dress is black and gold
Gold eyeshadow and black at the corners with brown or black mascara, eyeliner
black eyeliner and tanned coloured eyeshadow

black mascara and tanned or beidge coloured eyeshadow

peachy or a warm yellow would also look nice if your up 4 it :%26gt;
Do black on the lid, and gold close to the lash line.
